Confirm this version starts normally on ableton 11 trial

Maybe I'm missing something but the 'fix' seems to be adding a 6.5.1 dll to the 6.5.2 build.

How is adding 'ktp651.dll' to '\\Kontakt 6.5.2\Kontakt\x64' fixing build 6.5.2?
It looks like the fix is merely adding an old dll, ktp651, to the new build.

I don't have ktp651.dll and mine is working fine.

BACK UP YOUR USER DATA BEFORE UNPACK IN THE SAME DIR, cause it totally will wape out all you added library list... f*cked up ((( pevious versions was OK with it.

The problem comes from the fact that this release includes a generic Settings.cfg file which will replace yours (and thus reset all your installed database) without warning if you're upgrading an existing version.

So, either save your own KontaktPortable_v652.exe\UserData\Settings.cfg file first and restore it after the upgrade or open KontaktPortable_v652.exe in winrar and delete the Settings.cfg file from there before using it to upgrade your system.
If nothing goes right, go left!

Yes, absolute major issue! Seems like a [fixed, for real now] version is appropriate...

I can only advice to make a backup of the settings before each update anyway. I was using portable from like 5.8 to 6.0.4 and always did that even though it wasn´t necessary, but at some point the disaster is coming, and this seems to be the moment.

From the day 6.1.1 was released as a normally installing version (no symlink) I stopped using portable though, as sometimes in Cubase I had issues with it (not loading the instrument).

Sorry to make you confused. I installed it and it showed me the error message that Kontakt wasn't able to find ktp651.dll and wiped out the library.

Ya'll can't imagine how happy I am! I had the problem that suddenly "Rise & Hit" didn't work for me in any other version anymore. I cleaned up the registry as good as I could and everything. Didn't work. But THIS version recognizes it, and I can work on my old loved project again. Very cool!!!
