Thanx, with all the Libs that require a higher version then I'm currently (6.1) running I guess it is a sign :p Thanx for the share.

And while I'm here: I've been running portable since version 5. No problem except the fact that every time I change to a different version I have to manually assign libraries. With older projects, It becomes sometimes a puzzle cause what have I been using? Is there a way around this? A private message would be appreciated :D Have a nice Weekend!

This only occurs with me when having started a project with Kontakt 5, and then trying to replace it with Kontakt 6. To my knowledge, this is unavoidable, though I could be wrong. I have both V5 and v6 installed as I have a lot of older, unfinished projects using v5.8... not an optimal setup, but it works flawlessly if you have two portable versions.

I had this problem once long ago. My suggestion is always run the Standalone first after the upgrade and make all Library changes in Standalone.

@EpicShowdown. Text using foreign language need special encoding to view. Notepad++ (or Akelpad) have an encoding tab in the menu where you can switch to ->cyrillic ->windows 1251 if content is in russian for e.g. Use a translator (e.g QTranslate Portable), select all text paste (select auto-detect language) and copy back english translation on top.

I recently setup a new system and now always get an error when loading Kontakt or the plugin crashes in the DAW, maybe anyone can help.
I blocked Kontakt Portable with my firewall and only gave it LAN access. I did the same with my DAW. With my old systems that always worked fine, but now the plugins crashes and I get an error when loading the standalone Kontakt version: "Kontakt has encountered a mjaor problem and has been terminated. "
As soon as I disable the firewall, Kontakt works. But this is something I don't want to do all the time. I also tried to just give Kontakt full access in the firewall, which should be same than deactivatin the firewall, but again it crashes.
I am using Windows 10 Firewall Control on the latest Windows 10 version.

Anyone has any ideas how to fix that? Are there any other apps that need full network access or how can I fix that?

I use the same program and have Kontakt blocked too.
I never had a problem with it being blocked, so i think it does not need access.
I was using the old WFC but have switched to using the Malwarebytes versions now.

Does the stand-alone crash as well as the DAW?
And if only the DAW crashes, of course I want to know which DAW

I wonder about this myself since I've had the same happen with previous versions in Reaper, portable or full. Reaper's blocked, so Kontakt crashes it unless I either Unblock Reaper or disable the firewall. I just got used to disabling, then it works fine. But yeah, it's a bother and I use Kontakt quite a bit less than I'd like to.

With the "Browser" pane open, select Libraries Tab, and then "Manage Libraries"...
(Or click the "Help" button and select "Launch Library Manager")
Then Click on "ADD" at the top, and follow from there.
Of course you need to have placed the library folder someplace or "installed" it with an installer to some place to browse for it.

Does this version work with Maschine 2 ? With the previous one there was an error message when launching Kontakt in a Maschine project.
