Edit : the oversampling is static to x8 and can't be changed now. maybe it's the new update. the Channel Strip (Neve emulation) as well. doesn't matter because will use that anyway, just sharing if anyone missed it.

this *was* my goto pultec but I easily surpassed it with the softube tube tech MKII - yep different units and not meant to be exactly the same, but the mkii tubetechs are amazing. Made the noiseash sound a bit smeary and muddy by comparison.

We may have access to a world of great plug-ins thanks to R2R mainly, but I still like to streamline and choose the 'best' for my mixing and workflow so I don't like 2 of each type of eq even if they sound/act different. Also this one, unlike softube, doesn't work with the D-Command's physical controllers in Pro Tools.

Think of hammer as compression and chisel as eq. You can make great structures with only two.

These plugins sound very good. The low-end of the low/high pultec has a "big with no smear" sound to it.

This and the Bettermaker (Large & Clear tone to my ears) are my current favourite pultec emulations.

I got the Softube PE 1C MKii (plus the whole bundle) as a third option for source signals that lay on the upper to top end of the spectrum i.e. vocals, keyboards, percussion e.t.c as I find it to be "silky" in tone.

Rule Tec may find a home on my drums & bass buss as it has a bit more color than the other emulations I mentioned. Very excited to test them out.

Can't install .pkg. "The operation could not be completed (error from com.apple.installer.pagecontroller -1.) ". Big Sur 11.1

What am I doing wrong? Even moved the NoiseAsh installer pkg some directories up.
