Overloud TH-U is a software suite for guitarists and bass players who like to do everything in the DAW. The previous version was TH-3 version, and the new TH-U brings more of everything: 15 new amps (94 in total), 14 new speakers (52 in total), 2 new effects (77 in total), a redesigned Cabinet IR module and a search function for presets.

RIG PLAYER
TH-U is able to load rig models created from real setups.
The Overloud proprietary technology allows our engineers to sample and capture the response of an entire rig, including the nonlinear and dynamic response of the amplifier, the cabinet, the microphones, the mic preamplifier and the room sound. Rig To Model technology allows you to capture both analog and digital setups. The Rig Player, integrated into TH-U, allows you to reproduce any nuance of the sampled rigs.

AMP TWEAK
Thanks to its innovative dsp technology, TH-U features a new panel which allows you to change the pre and power tubes models, as well as to simulate the action of a variac. This allows you to mod any amplifier model with an almost limitless combination of tubes and opens the product to new sound capabilities.

Is it worth downloading? seems most Rigs Expansion Library's aren't included.

I couldn't find any info on whats updated in this version.

For people asking about Rig Models:
This has some not present in:
R2R THU Libraries from 2019.03.07 - 2019.11.02 + the TH-U.v1.1.7-R2R-2020.03.06

What i did was to copy the "...\AppData\Roaming\TH-U\Rig Models\" folder, uninstall the R2R, then install this.
Then I copied the "...\AppData\Roaming\TH-U\Rig Models\" folder again.
Then I useds those two as sources. I created folders for the "loose" rig presets, and now I have a fairly up-to-date Rig presets folder.
I zipped that up to save for future installs.
The IR folders seem like the same thing, but I did not bother checking.

I actually uninstalled this and reinstalled the R2R.v1.1.7.
If R2R fails to release an update after a while I may update with this, but I tend to stick with whichever team I have installed unless there's a good reason to switch.

Hi all

When I try to launch the exe file, I have an error message "unable to execute the file in the temporay directory" Access Denied

I guess could be the blocking of overloud access in HOSTS FILE !!

when I have seen this message on windows for other software it has been an antivirus setting - I use Bitdefender and it has a "safe files" option that I have needed to suspend while installing - Not installed this yet but worth checking - dont think hosts will be the issue - thats for blocking web site access not program executions.

No, its not. I always liked the workflow of GR though, but TH-U is the next best thing to a Kemper softwarewise due to its Rig Expansions.

Guitar Rig is going to be updated to Version 6 in october. Will definitely check it out.

After hours of playing and bleeding fingers, play til it hurts, I can confirm the new cabinets feature is like someone lifting a blanket of you amp and letting it sing. A well needed revamp of the cabinets and sounds bloody fantastic. Highly addictive.

Remaster Cabs get a huge thumbs up from me!

Now where are those bandages I 've got to keep playing even if it means a transfusion lol.
