English is not his first language. I think he means that he has improved the software, so it is more like the hardware circuit. Better than it was before. It's 'speechless' by the way lol :)

What a cool sound!! not to big and fat bottom like the bx_ one if you use the filters but this works really really great on all content focused on mid and high freq range... vocals, synths... best for shape a smooth and natural sound.

So has Mr. "Obsessed" finally pulled his shit together? Are his plugins finally usable? Judging by your posts I'd say "yes", but the last time I tried some of his plugins I was like "I wouldn't use these even if they were free". Well, now they are free, but I'm still reluctant to even try them. I don't like wasting my time. ;)

You just might be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks, I'm going to give it a go.

I wonder when his plugins started to be stable and bugless.

It would have been better for you if you tried it when you was were writing this horrible comment

Trust me, I don't criticise much of the plugins, but this guy has earned his reputation trying to sell generally very buggy plugins for extremely high prices. He's come to his senses since then, it seems.

I know that he had a bad reputation when he was charging for his plugins but we shouldn't criticize him since he started offering his products for free, some of them are even competitive comparing to some well known manufacturers.

BTHaniss, I saw your first comment, bevor you removed it:
What is wrong in this sentence? I'm not an English speaker too and want to improve. Can you please correct it

maybe you ARE the guy, who was selling the plugins? strange that you write "he" and speak about yourself!

This isn't going to turn me away from my go-to EQs, SineWave (as my main one is Equilibrium with its crazy curve abilities,) but this actually has a nice sound and the curve relations are smooth (using Plugindoctor to view them,) though I haven't compared the curves to higher-end emulations of the SSL EQ. No bugs as of yet, but I only used it on a few tracks, briefly, in place of EQs I already had set up. Nothing fancy, but solid.

When I saw some of first AO plugins, I was interested and did some testing, with ears and VST Analyser, too. So I tested a couple of them and they were certainly changing the sound a lot, generally in a pleasant, analogue way, but not always. However, the plugins were exceptionally buggy, so I just forgot about AO. I remember thinking if he only made a stable and usable GUI on top of what sounded more or less OK DSP code, they would be rather nice plugins for colouring tracks ITB, analogue way [think SSDR]. He's obviously more into audio and much less into programming. That's what I meant by saying to "pull his shit together". It's not really that offensive in English to say that. :)

But I also heard some dodgy things about AO plugins, on websites like KVR and Gearslutz when his plugins became free. Something about spying and trojans, so I thought "no thanks". Weird company, with very weird story behind it. I don't know what to make of it now.

I think you're absolutely right SineWave. KVR can be trusted, but let's be honest, most of anything written on Gearslutz is like reading the National Enquirer, completely biased and 99% completely trash information. If one person posts about something they didn't like, all the other slutz with pony tails and grey beards come out to say "yeah, me too". It's also moderated by people who will delete any posts that they simply don't agree with.
