Deserves its own post actually, because people might not expect it under a post saying "update".
But question: The download contains just one installer file, no patches etc. Does that mean that this is already including the patches and add library installation, in the way like r4e was packaging it for the last version?
(meaning r4e is getting some rest this time )

I compared that download with the one that had been posted the next day as the full version (compared just the content, as I have Kontakt already updated). And that one still contains the patch as an extra, whilst Olymoon’s doesn’t.
But under that other post Olymoon wrote that he released it before already (=under this post here in the comments). Which is strange as it is not identical.
So I still wonder if Olymoon’s post here is only the full, but nevertheless unpatched installer, which needs to be patched with the updater of this post here still, or if it’s an all-in-one full version incl. patch installer like r4e’s very appreciated effort for the version before.
Olymoon, please enlighten us ;-)

Whoever did the work on this - thank you, and thanks as well to Sunny for the first upload.
Work on Kontakt seemed so impossible a decade ago - so many good minds and capable groups have whittled away all of the 'protections' on these programs - 'protections' which only ended up crippling them, slowing them down, and destroying them as effective software, simply in order to protect the unprotectable.
Those who can afford to buy a good program, will always (let's say 99.9% of the time), buy it - IF they have had a chance to use it un-crippled, and it is effective, cleanly coded, and not bloated and over-complicated (and made slow and clumsy because of ownership paranoia, destroying the user experience for people who purchase the program in its bloated, over-protected state).
You companies who use "protection" that has become a stumbling block for users who buy your product anyway: you are destroying your own product.
When a 'pirated' program runs faster, cleaner, smoother and more glitch-free than your "protection-crippled" version, what are you encouraging people to do? What CHOICE are you leaving them?
Just one in 7 billion. Here and gone.

It fixed the crashes with Spitfire Woodwind bass flute and contrabass clarinet legato and multi patches. I still have random crashes when clicking the wrench icon (kontakt edit mode) for Spitfire instruments of the symphonic range but we can at least use the instruments now!

Not NI unfortunately, someone else did this. I always download updates from Bob Dule's site and it doesn't have "Add Library" button.

the "manage products/add libraries" function is selectable via regedit.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments\ALSupport
my library tool assign it to native access, as the legit kontakt does. and place add lib.exe in the Kontakt folder.

you can still replace it by the add lib.exe location
the patched does it by default in common files.

With none of the former releases of Kontakt 6.x here on Audioz you had to do this. They all had an "Add Library" function and were all keeping the added libraries of former versions when updating. I don´t know what problem some people have, maybe they are mixing up normal install versions (like this) and portable... or made other mistakes...

EDIT: even in the portable version you just have to make a backup of the settings folders before updating and afterwards put it back, as explained in its info file. So I am really wondering where that comes from.
If you need advice, me or someone else here is for sure glad to help.
