Stereo Tool 9.40 Multilingual + Plugin for Winamp-TSRh screenshot
P2P | 24 March 2020 | 248 MB
Stereo tool is a software-based audio processor which offers outstanding audio quality and comes with many unique features. It is used by over 1500 FM stations ranging from small local stations to 50-100 kW stations and nation-wide networks with dozens of transmitters, thousands of streaming stations and many DAB+, HD, AM and TV stations. It can be used for both live and file based processing.

Stereo Tool can make recordings sound equal and consistent in volume and sound color, bring out the details, and increase existing stereo effects. It can repair 'broken' stereo images which often occur on cassette tapes, vinyl and cheap CD's, which normally causes havoc when playing it on a mono system, headphones or a system which includes a stereo widener.

Special support (not free) is included for radio stations: Much louder output levels, FM pre-emphasis, stereo coding and RDS coding for FM stations, and protection of highs against distortion caused by lossy compression for web radio stations. The processing latency can be reduced as low as 12 ms, at the cost of reduced fidelity. At the maximum quality the processing latency is 93 ms.

Winamp plug-in version
Intended for Winamp, SAM Broadcaster, RadioBOSS, MediaMonkey, AIMP and other applications that support Winamp DSP plug-ins.

Stand alone version

This was one of the first tools to have AutoEQ, in fact it has two, a separate one for bass, and I feel it's superior to Gullfoss.

Its main purpose is to upgrade the quality of lossy formats, especially mp3s, for radio stations' live streaming. In this respect, the most prominent and special features are: very advanced declipper, retrieving high frequencies filtered out by lossy encoding, filling spectral holes made by 'psychoacoustic byte stripping', dequantization, retrieving transients, removing stereo offset.
You can also set CPU and GPU load to desired values.
It also has very high quality auto EQ, bass synthesis, dynamic processing, etc.
Very high quality software, with lots of unique features. In conjunction with some additional dedicated software, extremely useful for final mastering and audio restoration jobs.

It has so many features at this point it really no longer has a "main purpose."

If you go to Configuration -> Operating Mode and select "Extreme Tweaker" (or "Expert"), then go to "Processing" -> "Stereo Image," the options you see there are pretty much the only options there were in the very first versions of Stereo Tool (which is where it got its name).

Still the main market for them remain radio stations. And for this purpose it's most probably the best software in the world. Also most radio stations stream in mp3 format, so it is naturally aimed at it.
It has a lot of other features, but you can find them in wide spread variations in lots of other software.
If you want to improve your lossy formats in your home audio library you can enhance them and then save them in some lossless format in order to preserve the enhancements for good. And in the end, you can make several passess with different functions in your DAW, and get much better results than with on-the-fly processing.

message for TSRh,

after about 48 hours, the standalone version appears the message, without license fm Clipper composite, but in the license menu everything is active and green.

In some situations I agree, but it depends on the material, and use case. It's absolutely best for blind mastering of a lot of different tracks (preferably of same kind), if the outcome isn't as critical as a mastered version. The Auto EQ of StereoTool is quite audiable when it changes settings as the material changes over time. This is not always great.
I've spent days and weeks trying to get it to make old compact cassettes sound "happy radio" and work in any playsituation, but as the tapes are so very different in quality and lacks this and that all over the place it's a hard task to make all those errors behave, especially frequency/stereo image - but no other plug does what StereoTool does in so many ways in one go.

Support the creator if you can. He is a pure genius.

I recommend not smashing the limiter too hard and use fabfilter limiter -1dB limiting, -0,5dB output, DC offset ON, at max oversampling after StereoTool to make sure you don't hit the 0 in the rendered file. Always render for best result.
