New features like trim control and Mid/Side bypass are welcome.
It is a 3-band passive, boost-only EQ exciter. The bass band is centered at ~35 Hz with max. ~5 dB of gain and a wide spread Q of ~0.27 (free estimate), which should be enough for most purposes and prevent you from overdoing, but have in mind that it protrudes into vocals to a degree. The second band is centered at ~3.7 kH with a max. gain of ~1.5 dB and the third is centered around 20 kHz with max. gain of 9 dB (which is a bit too much). The last two bands are connected. It has even spread harmonic content, and is pretty fast rendering. At max. 'thick/shine' settings the output gain rises by ~ 2.5 dB (the job for the new trimming control). All of the settings are fixed, except gain controls.
Since the THD rises quickly with higher settings , the recommended settings should be: thick 2, shine 2.
