04.12.2019 | x64 x86 VST AU AAX WiN MAC | 280 MB
ReValver® models guitar amplifiers, stompboxes and effects at the component level, resulting in unmatched realism, dynamics and tone. ReValver’s RIR 2 Cabinet Modeling takes convolution cabinet modeling to another level while ACT (Audio Cloning Technology)™ allows incredible instrument modeling on the input and tone matching on the output.

ReValver can also create and load amp clones in our ACT Combo module, making ReValver virtually unlimited. Expand ReValver even further by hosting 3rd party VST/AU plugins within the software. Take ReValver to the live stage with full MIDI control and GIG Mode for seamless switching between presets. Download ReValver 4 for free and then browse the Amp Store for a wealth of additional amp/stomp/effects modules, ACT content and bundles. ReValver is available as a stand alone program or as an AAX, VST or AU plug in.

REVALVER FEATURES
COMPONENT LEVEL MODELING
How does ReValver simulate the sound of tube amplifiers and effects with such unrivaled accuracy? Component level modeling. Every resistor, capacitor and tube is modeled in stunning detail within the ReValver engine. In fact, every ReValver model is not only modeled to the schematic, it can generate an editable schematic for you to tweak, an industry first.

ADVANCED CABINET MODELING
With improved Impulse Responses, ReValver takes cabinet modeling to a whole new level of accuracy and realism by giving the user independent control of speaker configuration, microphone, and mic placement, allowing for almost endless tone shaping options. Also, the electrical interaction and response of the amp and speaker have been captured, allowing for even greater realism and dynamics.

INSTRUMENT MODELING
ACT (Audio Cloning Technology)™ also allows the user to mold and shape the sound of the guitar itself. At the input, the ACT Input Module can alter the incoming guitar signal to mimic the sound and characteristics of other instruments, such as acoustics, folk instruments, and even other electric guitar and pickup combinations.

3RD PARTY PLUGIN HOSTING
Do you have go-to plugins that you can't live without? With ReValver's plugin host module, you can expand ReValver with VST and AU plugins of your own. Add your favorite effects and stompbox plugins, or even use 3rd party amp sim modules with ReValver's advanced cabinet modeling. When it comes to expandability, the sky's the limit with ReValver

MIDI MAPPING
Virtually all parameters in ReValver modules can be controlled by MIDI. Using Control Changes, this allows you to switch stomp boxes on and off, switch channels on amplifiers, control expressive effects such as a Wah and even use expression pedals to control something such as Diffusion on the World Wide Verb delay for extreme delay control.

TWEAK, TWEAK, TWEAK
Where most amp modeling software lets you edit high level properties of an amp model, ReValver allows you to tweak models at the schematic level - all the way down to the electronic components. Change resistor values, tube types, tube parameters and more to create an amp model that is truly and uniquely yours.

ACT (AUDIO CLONING TECHNOLOGY)™
ReValver has always set the bar for guitar amp modeling. But, with the release of ReValver 4, we raised that bar even further by introducing our proprietary ACT (Audio Cloning Technology)™. Simply put, our ACT technology allows us to analyze, clone and reproduce a source sound with uncanny accuracy. ACT can clone the sound of instruments, speaker cabinets, amps and even recorded tracks and mixes. ACT doesn't just copy a sound source, it steals its soul.

WANT YOUR SINGLE COIL GUITAR TO SOUND LIKE A GUITAR WITH ACTIVE HUMBUCKERS? ACT CAN DO IT.
WANT YOUR ACOUSTIC/ELECTRIC GUITAR TO SOUND LIKE A HAND CRAFTED CLASSICAL NYLON GUITAR? ACT CAN DO IT.
WANT TO CLONE THE SOUND OF YOUR BUDDY'S BOUTIQUE TUBE AMP? ACT CAN DO IT.
WANT YOUR SONG'S MIX TO SOUND LIKE THAT HIT SONG ON THE RADIO? ACT CAN DO IT.

Audio Media Research?
Did Peavey drop Revalver?
And "free" seems a news too.
Its home page states the following about the usb thing:

COPY PROTECTION

ReValver 4 will need to be locked to a USB device to activate the license. This can be, amongst others, anything from a memory stick, iLok2 (or other dongle), audio interface or USB hard drive. Take care to register the device you wish to use going forward as switching a device is limited to lost, broken or replaced devices & cannot be done without contacting support.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
OS: Windows 7 or later / Mac OSX 10.7 (Intel CPU) or later.
32/64 bit CPU with SSE2
2GB RAM
500MB Disk Space
A free USB port and a USB device which to lock license or a USB device already in use (existing dongle audio interface, hard drive, etc)

Nice, I was wondering what happened to Revalver. I don't know why Peavey dropped this, revalver was/is a a fantastic program.

It's like they designed this killer app and got sidetracked and forgot about it. People were begging them in their forum for years to build it out.

If you did around you can get the original Peavey version with all amps and presets unlocked. Not sure if there is anything changed or new in this AMR version. At first glance it doesn't look like it.

the build date appears to be 2016, Egg's version is a little bit older but not sure what changed between them..maybe they are just releasing this as an interim thing until they get things sorted with taking over the company.

Peavey did not design Revalver. They bought it from "Alien Connections" some years ago. Great program none-the-less, but, not a Peavey original.

But how is that actually accomplished? The download in this post is only an installer. It doesnt ask or mention anything about a USB device during installation. And on instantiating the plugin no such choice is offered. Do I need to move a license file from somewhere? Thx!

Maybe that is the type of protection they are planing on using in the future? They (like Peavey) don't seem to be promoting this, which is bizarre considering how good it is.

i'm interested in knowing that too.

An amp sim made by an actual amp company was a bless.
Version 2, 3, and 3.5 were among the best if not the best amp sim i.m.h.o. Suddenly, for instance, it made Guitar Rig sound like a toy. It was so good that I still don't feel the need to jump to v.4 (I know it's been here).
Let's hope well for the future. Here's the present:

Valued ReValver Customer,

As of December 1st, 2019, the ownership of the ReValver® line of guitar amplifier modeling software was passed from Peavey Electronics to Audio Media Research, Inc ( AMR ). AMR’s primary focus will be the continued support and development of ReValver, expanding the ReValver line, and bringing exciting new innovations to the guitar amp modeling software market.

Although this transition will not be without growing pains, rest assured that it will have no effect on your existing ReValver user accounts and purchased products. ReValver and the ReValver Amp Store are now available at www.audiomediaresearch.com. Certain user account tools that were available from the Peavey site, such as account/password management, are currently being migrated to the new site. You can expect these tools to be back online in the next 2-3 days. AMR customer support is here to assist in any way possible. We can be contacted at [email protected] or you can open a support ticket in the “Support” section of the AMR website.

Both Peavey and AMR greatly appreciate your continued support of ReValver. Going forward, we at AMR are committed to serving you, our valued customers in any way possible. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue and further the legacy of the ReValver amp modeling line. Time and time again, ReValver has raised the bar for what is possible in guitar amp modeling software and AMR intends to continue this tradition. The innovations that will be introduced in the near future will give guitarists an unprecedented array of sonic tools at their fingertips. We think ReValver has an exciting future and we are thrilled to be making this journey with you.

Version 4 with all of the amps unlocked is great. This and THU are the cream of the crop imo. I'll take revalver over everything else, especially with some solid IR's.

If you don't have it let me know and I'll up it.

Have you ever heard the Neural DSP stuff? If not, they have a 14 day demo and you owe it to yourself to hear them.

Yes, I've used Neural.

Scott Mire must of launched his own company and purchased the Revalver Software
Hartley Peavey was never really Taken with or interested in Guitar Amp Soft Modeling he felt it was not a profitable portfolio for Peavey Electronics that most likely why it was sold to Scott Mire

unfortunately they give you free the hoster vst
then you must purchase addons it becomes quit expensive once you really look into the way they have created this purchasing model

Lets see what Scott Mire can do with it he owns it
Peavey Electronics does'nt even have any information on when this acquisition took place
Will they provide a medium(Forum) for users to talk to them not just email contact as we are all aware they never respond

will it sit on the shelf like it did for the past 4 years? and have users asking for new options only to be not answered?

for now lets just see what and where this goes

You have to launch revalver then click the shopping basket up right inside it. There you can do your authentication process. I think from there it's just a matter of following instructions.

Anyone wanting this might just want to stick to whatever the last cracked version was. It was a build or two newer than this one and you don't need to worry about any kind of dongle.
