Sononym represents an innovative approach to sample browsing, using machine learning and audio feature extraction to make personal sample collections searchable and discoverable.

The primary innovation in Sononym is called "Similarity Search", a special search mode which accepts any sound as the input, and finds relevant sounds throughout your sample collection. Using this approach, it's even possible to connect a synth, guitar or microphone to locate samples by recording new sounds on-the-fly.

In addition to this, the software offers many other features that you would expect from a sample browser, such as fully searchable and sortable file/results views and a modern, streamlined user interface.

Atlas is for Drum-Samples, not really for Loops., witout Key or BPM detection.

I am going to give the software a try . I think it is usefull, but i'm not sure if its key detection is as good as Mixed in The Key.

Guys, do you know any other software same as this one?

As far as i realise Sononym has better features such as category and key detection. Aspecially the software detects oneshort samples and categorizes them, it is quite good feature.

Edit : Not only oneshot samples and other all kinda sounds such as kick, snare, loops, atmosphere etc.

Going to try and see if theres a binary or something similar in this I can replace in an uncracked Mac version to see if I can get it working on Mojave... Probably wont be able to, if not should I request this app again for Mac? Im not tying to break rules here, just asking because Im unsure if the previous request for this app will be deleted.

It is not a third party plugin for a DAW, but rather it works as standalone.

I think that it is not important, since you can drag any listed audio from it into your DAW.

So basically a bit like having explorer open & dragging them in. I guess the disadvantage is not being able to quickly audition through live at the correct bpm.

This is quite simply perfect. Just what ive been looking for. Something i can use to click a sample as many times as i want to hear it, then either keep or delete it as i see fit. The easiest and simplist sample manager there is i personally think.

Initial impressions were good but it's just overwhelmed by my sample collection (over 600K samples). It was fine that it took some hours to do the initial scan but start-up and switching libraries takes minutes each time. The local databases it creates are 2 to 3 GB each so I guess the delay is in parsing those. Loopcloud does not provide as many features but works much more quickly with my (unwieldy) sample libraries. Maybe Sononym will find a way to improve the performance in future versions.

Creating a database is a disadvantage. Sononym is scanning all samples right now and it is already 4.5 GB database.

Cubase has media browser including database, but its is only 1,4 GB.

3 Monitors work well with this.

I use it on my right Monitor while the DAW is on Center and Left for Mixer.
Just drag and drop the samples into your Song.

I have 1.4 Million samples in my databse according to Sononym OMG !

I can't run this program on my win10. If I run troubleshoot compatibility it says incompatible program and fixes it. But it still doesn't run. Please help

IT WORKS on Win10, but it looks to me asking a license or demo mode, I can't find any instructions about that in the package, anybody can help ?

Hopefully the anonymous member cracks the newest version as well.
I did the clock ahead trick on another computer. But it only works on new installations.
