Algonaut a released a new artificial intelligence powered sampler that aims to change the way you find sounds and make beats.

Atlas allows you to see all of your samples in one place with a map based on style and character. You can generate unlimited drum kits with your own samples and speed up your workflow using drag-and-drop to any app.
At the centre of all our products is SoundClass, our own proprietary AI with a little bit of magic that is the first of its kind. It has been built from the ground up using customised neural networks, deep learning, and tailored audio analysis techniques.

We’ve trained SoundClass to be capable of listening to any new audio content and determining its category and a description of its characteristics. This opens the door for features and products that are yet unheard of.

Even if algonaut was the first with that idea, I'll stick with XLN's XO.
It's so much easier to use. But thanks anyway

Can't help but think XLN have basically ripped this off... I will take a look at both certainly but if I had to choose between who I support, I'd rather buy Atlas tbh. But anyway, thanks for this. Also, much respect to the anonymous reverse engineer for the earlier releases of this, much appreciated.

This things works like that, someone find an idea but others have more power, stealing idea and make it better like Waves did about vocal rider plugins. XO is better but it stopped working for me, Mono's or R2R's versions not working anymore thats why i back to Atlas.

That's why I never would pay any cent to XLN. They steal ideas, I steal their software.

I rather would pay Algonaut just for their first impulse on that without even using it.

If you ever have a nice idea and develop anything nice with it, you should consider protecting it by applying for a patent or whatever is possible there.

I remember the story about the inventor of the smiley. He sold his smiley idea for 45$ and a french idiot copied it, applied for patent and then took anyone to court who used a smiling face in whatever kind of logo.

Both this and XO are fantastic plugins for creative flow. This is definitely on my Buy for mac list, for the time being.

Atlas was first, and XO bit off of it and took it a step further.
However, Atlas has things XO does not have, like the following:

1) Multiple Pads layouts and numbers.
2) Automatic kit creation.

It seems XO is kinda sticking with a specific, basic kit, which honestly,
seems to be all that's needed for most electronic music.

I do wonder what is in this update.
Maybe some bug fixes.

I like Atlas saves alot of time not messing around with folders anymore,
they never say much about whats updated on their page do
think it has vst3 added: just seen it was updated to 1.4.3
