Tape Simulator 2 is a free sample based VST instrument (not an effects plugin) of a vintage reel to reel tape machine. The VST can be used to simulate your song running on a tape machine, by adding the authentic noise types found when recording to tape. Noise types include reel, tape, noise and hum. Each button can be pressed to simulate the sound of the machine starting up, rewinding, fast forwarding and stooping. Get the authentic sound of tape in your productions with this free VST.

1/2" TAPE RECORDINGS
All samples have been recorded using a Fostex B-16 reel to reel tape machine. This ensures 100% authentic samples direct from the source. No tape emulation or digital processing has been applied to any of the samples

4 VOLUME PARAMETERS
Volume parameters include tape volume, noise, width and hum. Each sample can be mixed using the volume controls, to create a variety of unique noise types.

CONTINUOUS LOOPS
Each sample continuously loops until the note is let go of. This ensures tape noise can be added to your track for as long as you hold a note on your keyboard.

VST INSTRUMENT
The VST is compatible with both 32/64 bit windows and mac. This ensures compatibility with all major DAWs.

● Tape - Volume control to add tape noise
● Noise - Volume control to add noise
● Hum - Volume control to add ground hum
● Pitch Bend - Pitch control that simulates tape speeding up or down
● Output - Master volume output control
● Power - Activates the 4 noise type volume parameters
● Play - Simulates pressing play on the tape machine
● Rewind - Simulates pressing rewind on the tape machine
● Fast Forward - Simulates pressing fast forward on the tape machine
● Stop - Panic button, stops all sound
