Sound Particles Sound Particles v2.0.2 WiN Audioz Patcher screenshot
WiN | AudioZ Exclusive | 422.25 MB
Sound Particles is something completely different from any other professional 3D audio software that exists today.

Sound Particles uses the concept of computer graphics, but for audio: each particle represents a 3D sound source (instead of a 3D object) and a virtual microphone captures the virtual sound of the particles (instead of the virtual CGI camera).

Imagine that you want to create the sound of a battlefield with Sound Particles. You could create 10.000 particles (sound sources), spread over a square mile, pick 50 war-related sounds from your sound library and render the entire scene with a virtual microphone (5.1, Dolby Atmos 9.1 bed, etc.).

Each particle would randomly select of your war-related sounds for reproduction, which means that some particles would reproduce the 1st audio files, other particles would reproduce the 2nd audio files, and so on. Also, each particle (sound source) would be positioned randomly on a square with a length of 1 mile. To obtain more interesting results, movement modifiers would add movement to the particles and audio modifiers would apply random gains, delays, EQ or time/pitch variations. The virtual microphone will be responsible for capturing the virtual sound of the scene, based on its position, direction and the position of all particles. The sound of all particles is captured, taking into consideration things like propagation attenuation, speed of sound and Doppler effect.

New Features:

CGI Integration

Working on animations or cinematics? Import 3D information from animations or visual effects into Sound Particles and attach sound to 3D objects in order to make your mix quicker than ever.

Real-time Rendering

Sound Particles now lets you hear, in real-time, the changes you perform. Adjust every parameter you desire, and the rendering process will automatically adapt to the changes.

Binaural Monitoring

Sound Particles will let you monitor binaural audio by decoding any type of audio format. Additionally, by using Ambisonics virtual microphones and the VR Client application, you can monitor your mix with head-tracking while watching a 360 video.

VR Client App

Test Sound Particles virtual reality projects on your Android device using this mobile application which communicates directly with the desktop application via IP. Includes 360 video, Ambisonics and head-tracking support. Download Android app NOW

I still get blown away by the price of some of these plugs and offering this as a subscription is really absurd. Thanks provider and Pirat for this.

This is free for students. i know the creator. Made this out of university. The prices are set for companies. Students are free. I think you are beingreally uncharitable. I also asked the Nunes for help because altho i was not a student at the time, i was struggling for work and needed any edge i could gain. he obliged

There is nothing absurd about the pricing. THe software is aimed at companies. It is free for students .What more could you want. They are a new company struggling. not that any of you will have a use for it but those that do, you could have just asked. He was one of the nicest guys in the business. Sucks to see peopel talk about him and his work this way.

And even tho he is aware. He is not stupid. He won't claim a dmca. He wants people learning to have it for free. Those that can't afford it , they have a path. I guess it just annoys me to see people talk shit about the good developers that have hearts.

Hi, I'm not sure people were being disrespectful towards the developer. I understood it as a genuine amazement at the fact that these programs can be so expensive, and that's my own sentiment as well. I've had my mind blown by Capstan, for example. As someone who's just a random dude and for who the big existential question is, do I buy a DAW for 200$ or would that be too much, it is a big deal, it's just unreal to see prices like this. That's why I expressed my surprise, and it wasn't meant in a disrespectful way.

I hadn't even heard of this program before and TBH I still have no clue what it's used for. In the past I ended up buying a couple of plugins that I only learned about from here. So yeah, in general it's a good thing to have people see stuff here. However, I do understand if your friend would feel bad after seeing his work here. I've seen some developer comments here who were very distressed about seeing their work on this site.

you have to understand this is a tool for companies that make well, thnk of the budget for a game or movie. This is not for the average music maker. They are not selling synths. It is very specific. Years went into the research and development. The money made i can assue you goes back into the product.

The software is free for those learning. I think that overides any objection people might have. Have many others do that ? Almost all the software for media companies in mind use ilok and charge similar amounts. There is a plugin by lesound that synthesis car engines. It is about 800$. How many people do you think are going to be doing work that involves this plugin ? 100 ? There is no actual protection for the software. I don't know. Its not the using of it that annoys me, just the people that have no idea about why things cost a certain amount and the people complaining probably have no use for it. Like they feel this attitude is what annoyes developpers. They understand piracy. They don't like this sort of pedelling of ignorance.

HOw many people make ( think they make ) edm - above a million ?
How many people require this tool ? preobably under 1000

It's funny that I thought this was an April Fool release, inspired after many members praising the particle engine in Noire.

BadOranges. Reminds me of a guy back on the AN website days. Sounds the same here too. Don't worry about him EpicShow.

I don't really understand your post. I was merely addrressing the implication that the developpers are raining cash and that the prices are unreasonable. How is free not fair ? These are academic researchers just trying to develop technology. This isn't some get rich scheme. Anyways.

Hi guys, I don't know if any of you have the same problem, but the patcher doesn't work. I can still open the software but it has a very weird font and makes it kinda difficult to read. Any solution?
