Create that arcade noise.

Noise as a secret weapon for mixing your tracks.
Make digital samples and synths sounds more natural.
Add character and sustain to drums, beats and percussive elements.
Add grit and power to basssynths, leads and paths.
Make vocal recording sound vintage.
Add an aggressive layer to a builtup section or riser.

If you want to know how the Noize Retro can improve your mixes, listen to these audio examples created by producer nrec. These examples come from the 2019 album The Fire by the New York based artist Kendra Black. It showcases how to use the Noize Retro adaptive mode to enhance a snare drum in a modern EDM production.

What's special about the Noize Retro?

The Noize Retro is a limited edition based on the Noize plugin, that features one unique adaptive noise type modeled after the noise produced by old-school arcade system boards, used for many popular arcade games since the 70s. The arcade noise generated by Noize Retro sounds dark and gritty, and has a different character than regular noise types like white noise. It can make all kinds of sounds - for example: bass, drums, synths and vocals - sound retro and edgy, and enhance their presence in your mix.

I'm working since more than 30 years in music bussiness and it was a long way, to record audio today without that f...ing noise. And now a sick brain tells me, this sounds better?

Well, it's fitting that they were giving this away for free at Plugin Boutique lately :p

lo-fi, retro, vintage -all have become very popular styles lately. it only makes sense people working in those genres (and working mostly in the box) would want ways to achieve that old sound without having to go buy all old gear...

this plug is definitely no rc-20 retro colour, but for free, can't complain!

"Add Character" says the guy in the video? I'm with you, no noise is good noise and it just sucks bandwidth. Perhaps instead of eq to spice up a bad snare, but really, adding noise alone doesn't add vintage character, it is eq curves, drum micing technique and that kind of vibe thing. When the transistor was implimented into audio gear and the noise floor started to lower, the great cheer from engineers and producers could be heard from as faraway as the planet Saturn. Yes, no noise is good noise.

Thanks for the upload though, somebody will dig it.

URS or Tape Saturation are the best plugins for this type of effect.

“Create that arcade noise” no thank you. I don’t think drums or synths should have noise sounds added to original audio.

Brian Eno adds samples of noise from old gear to his productions -
and that f*cker is a genius in my estimation.

Basically a white noise generator, which most synths can do.

Sometimes I layer sounds with white or pink noise and gate it. This little tool just makes it a little bit more convenient. Thank you

Exactly what i was thinking...

See at
https://youtu.be/CMmFVQbhwOA?t=115

1. Add a 4/4 midi for a white noise synth/sample
2. Use an envelope follower or gate to fine-tune it and a filter to your taste if you want
All with just stock plugins i.e. Ableton.

This plugin, (and all other current plugins from Denise Audio are just basic stuff that already created by thousands of companies.
I.e. their "space" plugin is just a Flanger.
How many Flanger plugins are there for the last 40 years?!?!
Instead of thinking about developing innovative new ideas they just create stuff that's out there tons of times already.
Copycats.
Not only Denise Audio, i'd say 98% of all these companies.
Only a handful of really innovative compan ies like Izotope.
