Due to the change of iLok deal in iZotope products, we haven't released
new products for years. That "AuthAssistant.exe" is dropped and all iLok API
call is included in the plugin itself, which means emulator is not a possible
attack anymore.

Although cracking iZotope is not a difficult job, we took a time to make it
"better" in many meanings, just install and enjoy :)

- Simplified custom installer
- Pre iLok Authorization without iLok driver
- Seperate component installer (No installation collision like orignal)
- No installation info disappearing like original
- Better compression than original
- Faster installation than original
You CAN mix new R2R releases with others, but NOT RECOMMENDED, since new
iZotope installer has some issues we listed above. You should install R2R
releases only, to take the best advantage.

If you want to clean up old iZotope releases before starting installing new
R2R releases,

1. Uninstall ALL iZotope products
2. Delete RegKey HKCU\Software\iZotope
3. Done, let's start clean iZotope life and
Stay away from official installers.


Because we don't use official installer nor iLok integration, we won't
release minor change updates for iZotope products.

v2.00 -> v2.01 - We take care
v2.00 -> v2.00b - We won't because not affected

In other words, you can ignore those official minor change if you use R2R
releases. If updated is needed by minor changes, we take care in that case.

I have an issue with standalone version (win 7 64), it asks to go online, if i block it, the app crashes, anyone knows if it's safe to let the app go online (like roland cloud for example)? R2R don't talk about this on description.

does you're host file look like this:

I have those lines but that are only for run R2R keygens, not for starting a standalone app, thanks btw, if anyone tries to start standalone version beware that it will go online, if i block ozone standalone from going online it crashes, please if someone knows if it's safe to go online i will unblock it, and i'm sure it will works, let me know, thanks.

I haven't tried this yet, bt isn't this a similar issue to what you have with recent Kontakt releases?

If you run a firewall like Zone alarm it will ask to go online each time you launch the program, as long as your Internet isn't connected in Windows it is ok then to click ok/accept.

Try it, and see what happens.

Thanks, i will try, too bad that other apps runs even if blocked with firewall without needing to close internet, but It's not a big deal since i'll use vst version most of the times and it runs perfectly on ableton live, reaper and machine, thanks R2R and everyone else involved :)

okay, I pulled out my internet cable and it worked fine without being online. So mine function both online and offline without doing anything special. So my guess is that your're standalone gonna crash also when you are online. And yes it is safe online, I'm always online. Test and see if the same things happens online and we take it from there. You have probably tried this; to do the good old uninstall and the reinstall, then restart pc trick.

Thats not an Ozone Issue, it's the integrated plugin scanner that runs in background when Ozone Standalone gets started. Had the same here. After it started, a scanned plugin tried to connect to the net and when I denied, the scanner crashed.

You can fix that by simply deleting the "Neuron Plugin Scanner" from
...\Program Files\\iZotope\Ozone 8\win64
and
...\Program Files\\iZotope\Ozone 8\win32

You then cannot add your own plugins as modules (in the standalone only)
but to be honest, who uses Ozone to load external plugins...for what...?

The patches seem to be very similar to the other patches devlivered with the other releases more early (so if you have it, you don't have to uninstall and reinstall) but the custom installers are the one thing, that makes this release superb.

Also made an izotope aio installer for myself in the past to not carry gigabytes of data
around and now everyone can get these benefits. Very nice!

I love and respect R2R's awesome endeavour but...

...unfortunately this release has a small but irritating bug. In cubase (9.5.40, win7) EVERY time i jump back to the beginning of an arrangement (pressing 1 on pc keyboard for example) ALL sound cuts out... by briefly switching off/on in the ozone panel i can get the sound back, but this NEVER happened on the previous version i was running (iZotope_Ozone_Advanced_v8_00 FiX)... the way i work this is a bit of a show stopper so i'm going to have to switch back...
