Wavetable

I update to Mojave when it first came out. So far I've had no problems with Mojave itself and ableton.

Thanks a lot R2R. But the following two problems still remain.
* Max for live: "The Max Application appears to be broken"
* Scanning Core Lib on EVERY launch.
I think it works for everybody else, though I've always been able to fix more complicated problems. Obviously not this time. Any help is therefore highly appreciated. (Btw. It used to work in version 10.0.1)

Thing is; I'm really new to Ableton, trying it out, new workflow etc. As I mainly use Logic, the M4L stuff is one of Ableton's standouts worth trying. But that said, 10.0.1 had other issues and was less stable and the projects I've done has been without M4L so far. Maybe I'll stick with that for a while.

But as I suspect it works for everyone else, I was wondering if somebody have might some ideas? Maybe something wrong with my system. Mac High Sierra 10.13.6?

I don't know if you have a Firewall on Mac like Windows,but did you block Live & Max with your Firewall?
Or maybe uninstall Live,delete all Ableton folders,and then install it again.

I don't know Mac,but on Windows Live scans all your plugins every lauch,it's normal.

I always have a firewall running. (Little Snitch) When it comes to scanning, the VSTs are only deep-scanned the first time. After they scans very fast. Still does. It is Abletons own Core Library that keeps scanning on every launch. (Takes annoying 10 seconds.). It did'nt do that in 10.0.1.

I've done all the special mac clean up stuff that sometimes are required with other software. Permission resetting, Code Signing, Pref Trashing etc. This includes removing all Ableton files, prefs and user lib folders etc, and installing Live from scratch.

I have a feeling it could be permission related though. Some years ago Mac OS had a utility to reset all user permissions to a default state. Folder permissions often get altered by installers. I tried to do what I could manually, without success. I don't know if Ableton stores tmp files other (secret) places than described. Could be somewhere with wrong permissions. It's seen before by other vendors and would make sense.

The only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling a fresh system though. That's gonna wait. But thanks for your response and suggestions.

Doing a fresh OS install won't work.
Live always takes some time to scan files at launch (including Windows :S)
Get used to it.

Well. It's certainly a new feature after 10.0.1. The scanning I can get used to. But M4L not working seems rather critical.

Instructions
1. Close Live
2. Delete the folder "Cycling'74" in this location:
MacHD:/Users/[Username]/Library/Application Support/
Note: This folder is hidden by default. Go to finder and click on go in the appbar, now press alt and hold it and you will see library in the pulldown menu
3. Restart Live and open the Max for Live editor by clicking the edit button on any Max for Live device. The editor should now open

I think I know why Max for Live crashes for me.
Recently my secondary video card just "fried", and had to move some .kext files in order to make my MAC use its internal Intel chipset.
I guess it has something to do with OpenGL it needs to render some objects on MAX...such a pity

If anyone knows something about this, just drop me some comments
