Breakaway Audio Enhancer v1.40.03 Incl Loader-CiN1 screenshot
CiN1 | 17 July 2018 | 4.8 MB
Breakaway Audio Enhancer dramatically improves the audio experience for all PC users with the same technology as pros in the music business use to clarify and control your computer audio. Breakaway Audio Enhancer provides complete audio control over music, videos, web browsers, and games. Screaming web ads impale speakers, Hulu videos require cranking the volume up, and every media player makes favorite CD’s sound different but Breakaway Audio Enhancer changes all that. Audio from any source sounds professionally mixed with the Audio Enhancer’s automatic adjustment of volume dynamics and equalization.

Breakaway Audio Enhancer incorporates state-of-the-art dynamics processors that examines and adjusts the audio thousands of times per second. Low levels are intelligently raised and loud signals are kept under control. Audio in any media player or web browser, including MP3s, video, Internet radio, or CDs, will be digitally remastered for consistent volume level and spectral balance. Files are not scanned or modified - just improved in real-time before they hit your headphones or speakers.

With Breakaway Audio Enhancer there is no longer a need to purchase separate audio enhancement plug-ins for each of your media players. Breakaway Audio Enhancer will improve the audio for all Windows audio & video players. It is the gatekeeper for good sound between any digital audio player and your speakers. Only sweet sounds get out.

Features:
* Multi-band dynamics processing restores spectral balance to your music library.
* Multiple look-ahead peak limiters provide distortion-free transient control.
* Makes tunes sound louder and punchier, while bringing out subtleties you never knew existed.
* Automatically adjusts volume dynamics and spectral balancing.
* Corrects song-to-song volume shifts and overdriven speakers.
* Same professional technology used by DJs, radio stations and webcasters.

Compatible with the following operating systems:
32-bit & 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10.

This enhancer isn't just an over-hyped "Soundgoodizer," it's actually quality. It even makes my shitty, Logitech computer speakers sound nice. Recommended.
Thanks, Mordi.
(For those interested, it's $30, which seems legit....if you have the money.)

Why does the interface look like Stereo Tool? (stereotool.com)

I don't get one thing: how can you "dramatically improve the audio experience" beyond the one that the pros provided you with on the CD. Like, wha?? You know? If they wanted you to hear it differently they would make it sound differently. You should strive to play the music with as less changes to the sound as possible if you want to be able to mix music and know your speakers.

First, the "If they wanted you to hear it differently...." bit almost makes sense, except for the fact that just because you have nice speakers (not monitors, speakers,) doesn't mean that a well-mixed album is always going to sound good. As you know (I'm assuming,) mixes sound very different even on speakers of the same brand. Hell, I've heard professional albums that sound dope in a car but sound like ass on full-blown house speakers. Some of the albums I've listened to sound better with this enhancer, the most noticable feature (to me,) being that many of the low bass tracks clear up and don't fog the other instruments as much. A couple of the mixes have sounded a bit weird with this enhancer, though not egregiously so, due to the fact that it brought instruments to the forefront that might not have been intended to have been the predominant one or the lead.
Second, this is set up as a pipeline with Windows audio. I don't have this attached to my ASIO driver at all (I'm actually unsure if you can even do that,) so the getting-to-know-your-speakers-for-a-mix bit (a point in which I would normally agree,) seems like a moot point. I, personally, don't always listen to music on my monitors, in fact the only time I actively make a point to, is if I know that I am going to be using that track later for an A/B reference against one of my tracks, anyway.
Even if all you do with it is watch videos online, this gadget is pretty handy to have around, especially since it has a very simple bypass button on the pop-up from your taskbar.

Hey all, question: is Breakaway really supposed to come up as "30-day Trial" at every new boot-up?

(Even after correctly running loader from program root location)

PS: Anyone else same issue, or just me?
On close inspection, this IS bottom line.

Sorry, it's just you. Everything is smooth over here. I just followed the directions and haven't had to fiddle with anything yet.

EDIT: I shouldn't have added "yet" to my last post.
After using this for a few days, it *just* started my 30 day trial; I am now on day twenty-nine. I have restarted my computer every day, plus, I have been online the whole time, activating and deactivating the enhancer every-so-often, so neither of those two actions seem to be the source of the activation.
Very strange.

Kinda corroborates my issue. Pity I guess...

Yep, Breakaway is really awesome. Same league as hardware tools for radio broadcasters costing thousands of dollars. You could even enjoy this little gem on 'good' speakers. It's not just meant for optimizing for shitty speakers. Think of it as the classic optimod, that makes every mix more the way you like it. Most presets overdo it a little, but you can set the threshold.

I totally agree. Furthermore, not every act can afford an awesome mixing engineer. And even those: depending on the brand of monitors they trust, most mixes have a tendency in some direction. Some sound harsh because the monitors had a nice blind spot between 1,8 and 2,5khz or the mixers were golden agers. some mixers really, i mean really really LOVE low frequencies and so on... This tool can't make the guitar loudar than the singer, but it can iron out flaws in a mix that is espeacally disturbing on the personal setup of the listener. It is a consumer tool. It's not meant for production.

Okay, Update-Update. With a handful of days left in the trial period (I tried reinstalling and running it from the loader....which I had done the first time, and it still gave me the demo,) it just straight stopped working. No reason, just in the middle of YouTube video. After running through a quick troubleshoot with nothing working, I uninstalled it and my audio is working again. It's a shame that the bugs keep happening because it really does a good job optimizing everything. I guess it's back to turning tricks on the corner so I can afford to buy this....

missing nfo
1. Install the application and block internet access in firewall.

2. Go to TaskManager and select Start-Up tab and then select Breakaway Audio Enhancer and select the Disable button at the bottom of the window then close TaskManager.

3. Place the loader in the same folder as the software. Right click the loader and create a shortcut. It may tell you it cannot save here... if so select save to desktop.

4. Then open the “Startup” folder, just hit Windows+R to open the “Run” box, type “shell:startup,” and then press Enter.
(it’s located in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup)
Once the window is open copy and paste the shortcut for the loader into the startup folder.

You may need to elect the folder that the software is in and remove it from antivirus scanning as some antivirus gives a false positive for the loader.

If Windows requests Admin priveledges allow the request.

If all the steps are completed you should have a registered program.

Cheers
