If you click check for updates in omnisphere you will get 1.4.3f.

can somebody else confirm that it's safe to check for updates in Omnisphere? On another site people said that you should not click the check for updates button

When you press "Check for updates" you will only be directed to a version comparison. To download updates from that point you have to authorize. So far no locks after checking for updates.

When you use Trilian patches from within Omnisphere, then you don't start Trilian. Because of that, there is no version info within Omnisphere for Trilian Software but only:
Trilian Soundsources v1.0.1
Trilian Patches v1.4.6d
Trilian VIP Patches v1.4.6d

When you click on "Get updates" from within Omnisphere 2 (opens explorer and visits Spectrasonics site), then there is no version shown for Trilian at all.

1.4.3d is what i got too. went to spectrasonics website and found:

the release notes say f. not sure if they have uploaded the new version on their website yet or got the wrong .exe

If it is the standalone version it must be right because there was not a standalone version for 1.4.3.d

plugin version were not updates so they must be 1.4.3d

Standalone version is just a loader that inserted the dll of the plugin versions

That is why the standalone maybe saying 1.4.3d

On mac I updated and the k'ed registration held. I think this standalone just accesses the VST or something similar like a wrapper.
