Easily Add Clarity & Depth to your Master Using Psychoacoustics
We designed Focus to make one of the mastering industry secrets available to you using psychoacoustics - right out of the box.

Focus takes care of all the wizardry behind the scenes, creating this psychoacoustic processing chain while keeping the effect mono-compatible.

All you have to do is to adjust the filterband to highlight any important elements in your master you want to stand out.

This technique can take your mix into a completely new sonic realm, making your kick drums punch through and helping lead vocals and instruments sit effortlessly in the mix.

Features:
+ Well guarded mastering secret revealed
+ Bring out elements in your master in a new way
+ Analog modeled filters and summing
+ Extremely light on CPU and RAM
+ Mastering is the key to giving a well balanced mix the final push to make it stand out. However, many commercial releases seem to have a level of depth and clarity that seems extremely difficult to achieve

"Sometimes when you've finished your mix, you tend to hear a lack of presence with some frequencies - now you can easily add them using Focus, without altering your whole mix. We use on every single production now".
Blank & Jones - German electronic music duo who have released eleven albums, and more than 16 singles since their first single release 'Sunrise' in 1997.

It won't fuck up your mix, unless you use it like that idiot in a video.
Thumbs up for upload.

For 'depth and clarity', try BX Console N along with sound toys micro shift.
In 2010 I gave up women and Booze. It was the worst 20 minutes of my life.

Seeing some diagrams explaining how this process works and what it is actually doing to your master helps to understand it's purpose.

No I don't. I can't remember where I came across this technique. If you go to the company's YouTube channel you will see I have left a very vague explanation of what's happening within this plug-in. The reason for the vague explanation is that I simply don't remember everything. I actually decided for myself when trying this technique manually, that I did not like it on the project I was working on at the time.

I will try to describe what I can remember:

1. Setup a parallel buss to your final mix.
2. On the buss, apply some low-cut and hi-cut, (how much, is your choice.)
3. On the buss, apply some static time delay, (something between, say, 15 - 30 milliseconds. How much is your choice.)
4. On the buss, flip the phase.
5. Mix, the parallel buss back into your original, final mix. (How loud you make your effected parallel buss, is up to you. I remember that the tutorial I read suggested to keep it lower than the original, final mix.)

Oh yeah, I know of what you refer . . . you can actually achieve a very similar effect with specific settings on Matthew Lane's DRMS.
