Haha, the team is called V.R.
CE stands for "cracked edition" insofar as I can tell.

no 32bit version??

Only available as 64-bit (from SonicProjects), no more 32-bit development (lastest 32-bit was 1.1 - if I remember).

The official site says
System requirements:
- OP-X PRO-II is available for both the Windows and Mac platform in 32bit and 64bit format.
- The plugin formats cover VST2 and VST3 in Windows and AU and VST3 in Mac.
- A 32bit or 64bit host supporting VST2, VST3 or AU
- ...

edit:
OK, was too quick. The 1.2.5 32Bit version is only available for Mac.

Don't worry, r4e! but the system requirements from official site is a bit confusing. Also I've missed an important indication in previous post: "for Windows"... (I use legit OP-X PRO-II on Windows 7 PC, I don't have Mac).

Do I really need this if I have Diva?

You can have both, mate... It's a real 80s vibe.

There's one guy on youtube who demoed OP-X II running on a low-end netbook (Intel Atom CPU).
I don't think you can do the same with Diva.
Less CPU means more polyphony and more layered instances

This is the vst heavyweight champ for me. Bought it and lost it when my hd crashed. The other cracked version was buggy as hell running through jbridge 64bit. Been using the reaktor version but it doesn't have all the amazing preset libraries. Hopefully this one will work better. thx.
p.s. u can get a bunch of really good presets free from the sonicprojects website.

Aren't all the (web) presets included in this release? There's nothing newer (online) than 2015 AFAIK? Great synth btw!
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

You must have a problem because it works very well for me with Studio One.

It sounds so good !!! Thanks VR !

After trying both VST 2 and 3 formats going through Studio one Pro after a few presets Studio One Pro starts crackling tried several times anyone else with this issue the first few presets sounded great then crackle city have to shut down Studio One-Peace

Seems absolutely fine w/ VST3 / 2.4 (bridged too). No crackling, and very minimal CPU use. That's w/ S1 v3.5. & most other DAWs I tried. Lovely sounds! Thx guys!

Only isuue I had was w/ 2 (default) presets - #96 & #102. Neither made a sound, dunno if they're just corrupt or smthn? Don't rly care, tbh, just hope it's not an issue w/ engine?

Anyone else have that problem?
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

Thanks a million V.R. and DECiBELLE!! Wanted this for a long time!!
After trying the Demo version and the separate banks download, I found out that this happens there too.
I found here that you must enable the 24db self oscillation. It's right under the oscillators section. It says, Filter 24db, click this twice so that the OSC2 lamp in the FILTER section above lights up too. To listen to The Selfreso Water Effect hold the key.

P.S. In Sonar 2017.05 x64 the VST3 plugin is crashing Sonar whereas the VST2 doesn't, anyone else?
  Resident 1.07.2015 4 649

In Sonar 22.11 (x64) the VST3 (& 2.4) works fine. I updated 2 check if it works w/ 23.5 (x64) and it all seems ok there, too! Didn't play around very long, tho... Maybe u got some weird remnants left over from the demo version (I didn't install it)? Try uninstall / wipe demo?

Anyway, thx for the help w/ 24db filter thing! Worked fine. Would never have even guessed that it was a problem w/ filter =( or that there's no (local) feedback for pressing it 2x...

The gui is kinda sucky on this (imo). Ditto no scrollwheel. Good job it sounds so teeth-wobblingly brite!
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

Thanks for letting me know. :)
After some debugging with process monitor I found out that in Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities the files CW100Auto.dll and CW110Auto.dll which were from older Sonar versions, were interfering and caused Sonar to crash... I left there only CW120Auto.dll which is from 2017.05.

famouslut it appears that this bug is not present with the VST3 version, the presets load correctly and I didn't have to enable the 24db filter. I recommend using this instead of the VST2 because I presume that other presets may be buggy too...

Yeah, figures; always try to use VST3 anyways. Guess DDMF Metafilter / VSL EP will get moar use in Ableton et al X(
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!
