Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V v1.2.0 [WiN-OSX] Incl Keygen-R2R screenshot

Team R2R | Feb 14 2017 | WiN 25 MB | OSX 86 MB
The PPG Wave 3.V Upgrade is for users who already own PPG Wave 2.V and want to upgrade to PPG Wave 3.V. Owners of all versions of PPG Wave 2.V, including the Waldorf Edition, are eligible for this upgrade. Simultaneous purchase of both Waldorf Edition and this upgrade is also possible.

Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V is the reincarnation of the legendary PPG Wave Synthesizer, which no doubt is considered one of the most respected high-end synthesizers of the 80s. Developed by Wolfgang Palm, this instrument is featured on countless records, and it inspired a whole generation of producers, composers and listeners. While back then it was your choice to spent your money either for a vehicle or the PPG, the new PPG Wave 3.V renders this breathtaking sonic character very affordable, comfortably to use for every VST or AU Host. During the development of the PPG Wave 3.V, we gladly received extensive advice from Wolfgang Palm himself to ensure that the PPG Wave 3.V becomes a worthy successor of this adorable jewel of the art of German engineering.

Unleash the massive sound potential with the charm of the "good old digital days" with this unique instrument, and bring back the pure joy and individuality of 80s synthesis with the PPG Wave 3.V!!

Did I say ?

Thank you so much R2R for this great gift and have a great "whateverday"! I just used the e-mail and serial from the .nfo to activate PPG, Largo, and Lector that I downloaded from Waldorf and installed just the other day. It worked! Windows 7 x64 Sp1 no Internet

Same for me - if I use the included serial, it accepts it, and activates the plugin, and all new instances do not have the "demo" text. But if I quit the host, restart it, and try again, the PPG has reverted to demo mode.

Maybe a permissions issue where it's trying to write the serial/activation info..?

Win 10 x64: reverts to demo.

Tested with Sequoia and Nuendo.
In theory, theory and practice are the same.
In practice, they're not.

That must be a Windows 10 bug in the original program, I think. I used the original Waldorf download and activated with the provided e-mail and serial from R2R. Works as expected in W7x64 and Reaper x64. Oh, and I don't use Internet in Windows. Network yes, but no Internet.

Maybe it is.

But from your post above i see you did not use the Activator. You have used a preset email and serial from the .nfo.
And if that is so, you can't comment on the activator's efectiveness.

Regardless, today i'll check with same DAWs under Windows 7 x64.
All my machines have internet connection.
Activators that don't allow internet connection are not proper activators but i'm quite sure that is not the problem here. Other R2R activators, same type of activator, have been working flawlessly with machines connected to the internet.

Under Windows 10 x64:
Using VST3 x86 with Nuendo 4: reverts to demo.
Using VST2 x64 with Sequoia 13: reverts to demo.
Using VST3 x64 with Samplitude X3: reverts to demo.

So far, these are my results.
As usual i'll test thoroughly and update with my conclusions.
Possibility that I might have made an error is not excluded and if that is the case, as usual, i'll let you all know.

UPDATE: tested in Windows 7 x64, same DAWs as before, after a while it reverts to "demo" mode.
Used Activator and not preset serial codes.
In theory, theory and practice are the same.
In practice, they're not.

Weird. My Waldorf installations are all still working.

I hope you resolved it.

Thank you R2R once again! These are fabulous and unique synths.

No problems on the mac side for me I downloaded a trial from Waldorf and used the keygen. I had to activate the au and vst . I quit logic and Maschine a few times , restarted mac but they still work and haven't gone back to demo mode

Thanks - what's your OS?

Running El Cap here, and none of the licenses stick with either the AU or VST version. None of the licenses stick with the trial downloaded from Waldorf directly either, the behaviour is the same - they initially activate ok, but on reloading the host (any host), they all revert to demo here.

OS X sierra 10.12.3 . Input the serial close plugin and reopen . I've had all the plugs working for over 24hrs without a reset to demo . I've just switched my mac on again to check today and there still working in au and vst the only one I couldn't get to work was lector, largo and ppg bundle activate fine . I own nave so no issues there . But the keygen does work mate

Yes, I know how to activate :) - as I said, after activating, the plugin *does* look like it's activated, and the demo text goes away. I can remove it, and reload additional instances, and it stays activated all the time the host is open.

However, if I close the host, restart it, the plugin goes back to demo mode. Tried with a bunch of different licenses, all the same behaviour.

So in essence, I have a trial reset keygen at the moment!

For you, but not for me. But as it's working for some people, I'm wondering if the problem is that the plugin isn't able to write the activation status (ie, some kind of permissions thing) which is why it works for some, and not for others. Anyone know where the activation info is written?

Also, anyone on El Cap have this working, or on Sierra and it *doesn't* keep it's activation status?

Note that there are same reports on Windows with people finding the activation doesn't "stick" either.

I don't know then mate and I wasn't telling you how to install I was just saying how I did it and there working . I've closed logic and Maschine a few times even switched mac off a few just to test there still working for me apart from lector. And working still today . But I've never had these installed previously. Have you tried removing the preferences file normally that will deactivate the plugin license and you'll have to do it again .

From my previous post: "Anyone know where the activation info is written?"

It's not anywhere immediately obvious like the root or user preferences folder that I can see.

Given that the PC versions stores the activation info in a DirectX profiles directory, I'm guessing they are trying to write the info somewhere sneaky - and if the plugin can't write to this info due to permissions, I can't look for a file that doesn't exist yet - hence why I was asking if anyone knows where the info is stored...

I would expect it's not to the plugin itself, as then you'd have to activate VST/AU/etc separately. Anyway, I will continue to have a play around with this and see if anything comes of it...

all the preference files are in the user /library /preferences/ .com.waldorf . They are there because I've just looked to see . I deleted largo preference file to see and it reset it to demo then I again activated it with no problem. Also I did have to validate the au in logic and vst in Maschine .

Ok, that was really helpful. I had no PPG prefs files in the root prefs folder, but knowing that that was where the plugin as supposed to write it's license info, I reset permissions on the prefs folder, and re-activated the plugin - the prefs file was now written, and the activation sticks.

So my initial hunch it might be a permissions problem was correct - the activation info prefs file was not being written, so the plug activates ok, but doesn't persist the activation state (and doesn't display an error that the prefs file could not be written) so it's lost the next time the host launches.

So for anyone else having the same problem, make sure, at least temporarily, that you have system write level access on the root library preferences folder.

Thanks for sticking with me to help figure this out, DKB!

I was having the same problem with the plugin reverting to demo after restarting the host DAW, but I finally got it to stick by disabling BlockBlock, an application that monitors certain directories for changes. It has never caused problems before, so I'm not sure why it was happening. I figured I'd share that in case anybody else having problems is running BlockBlock.

This is one of the reasons why I so resolutely suggest to people to run their DAW OSes without Internet, AV, or any other programs that run in the background. Run a clean OS, use another for Internet and you won't have these or any other sorts of problems.

To Mac users with working PPG:

Can someone post his/her working plist file from /Library/Preferences/ .com.waldorf

So we can add username serial to the plist file manually...

Replace "EMAIL" and "SERIAL" with email and serial you wish to use, including the one listed in the nfo. It's not encoded in any way, just plain text.

Filename is "de.waldorfmusic.audiounit.ppg_wave_3v.plist" for the AU.

Hi All.

I have a strange problem:
Largo and PPG Wave 3 both crash my Ableton 9.71 64 bit on OSX Sierra,
while the new versions of Lector, Nave and the old Waldorf Edition work fine.

Largo VST does install but does not get validated by Ableton. the AU crashes Ableton when loading the plugin.
PPG Wave 3 crashes Ableton when loading the plugin.

The plist trick did not change anything, also not removing the de.waldorfmusic.waldorf-edition2.plist for a test.
Also the repacked Largo install-file did not behave different.

Any ideas?
Thank for the great work anyway guys!
