Went to the garbage as quickly as downloaded.
Was trying the integrated instrument synth when suddenly a very loud screeching noise manifested. I thought I was blowing up my speakers and my ears are still ringing....Bad...very bad.

I'm running a Mac computer... stay away.

i still use v1.4 occasionally. all the versions after that have been lacking or buggy. i am on windows.

i will try this one out of curiosity (with low level cheap speakers!).

I still use v1.4 because it is so great and easy to work with VST chains. The rather dumb and unresponsive developer changed it into a more standard sequencer in v2. It also took him 10 years to implement multicore processing. EnergyXT is one of the best and one of the worst sequencers out there. :lol: It can be buggy, but v1.4 is pretty solid, yes. Maybe he started using heavy drugs or something when working on v2. :lol: Despite the outrage of the many users of v1.4 at KvR he just decided to go his way. So many people were in love with version 1.4 because it's so unique and nice and easy to work with. Not that v2 is that much different [and v3] but still... such a shame. Well, I started using Reaper in 2007 and continued using it in parallel to EnergyXT.

A tip regarding speakers: put a low CPU 0-latency limiter or clipper on the master output of EXT. Simple. I can recommend you GVST clipper due to its low CPU usage.
