Windows hosts patch means windows not mac. It blocks your computer from being able to connect to certain internet sites. Try opening it with text editor and seeing what it blocks then google how to accomplish the same thing on mac. My mac = always offline so I never have to mess with host patches or demo problems. For the rest of you with demo errors make sure you uninstall everything, then install + stay offline unless properly blocked.
