A big thankyou to Team V.R
The plugin eXtender removes all plugin limitaions in Audio Montage so these releases are far better than the legit version. The WAvelab Elements 5 plugin limitation in the master section can easily be got around by using a plugin chainer

Just a question here: will this by any chance mess up my Cubase 8.0.40 Elements installation?

Big thanks to @Horsemen for this upload.

Quick question for those who got Version 8 Element installed, should we un-install Vers 8 before installting V9???

Thanks

Maximum appreciation units. I say, I have a legit copy of Cubase Pro 8.5 running. Can I successfully run this with it?

At the end of Step #2 ( WaveLab_Elements_9_64bit.msi (to default location), there is a box to check stating "To be able to make unlimited use of your version of Steinberg WaveLab Elements 9 64bit, you must activate your permanent license using the activation code supplied with your product. Launch License Activation now."

Should I indeed leave this box checked?

"Sorry for the trouble, a thousand pardons," Jacobus stated humbly and graciously.

Just run as trial and, depending on your age, these trials may well outlast you.

Well, it is asking for an activation code. Should I "Cancel License Activation?"
  Resident 3.06.2010 398

Sorry misled you there. Wasn't sure what you were on about. No do NOT activate just run it as trial. That is the whole point of the craic. The trial does not run out till 2064. Surely that's enough time to edit up your waveforms??!!

Blessed be the Gods, it appears to work. Under the help menu, there is an option to "Register Now," but I assume this is to be expected given the nature of the crack. I dig this new GUI. I haven't touched Wavelab since Air's WeveLab 5. Elements should work just fine for my Bedroom Producer requirements. My thanks to the Academy.

select the Dark option for the GUI Jacabus. It looks really elegant. With Elements you will be limited to working at 96k as opposed to 192k with Pro but a lot of experts are saying that 96k sounds better because computers do not handle 192k math too well. AS far as I can see batch conversion is not available but I wouldn't need that myself. Make a CD is not directly available in Elements under the option dropdown but all the CD functionality is there in the menus. Thre's some good up to date Wavelab video tutorials available here under the Education section

Ooh, I like the Black option even better. Classy. I heartily subscribe to Mr. Lavry's analysis on 192k: I don't find it necessary, especially for my indie/pop oriented work. My experimental music is full of distortion, granulation, and bit reduction, so it isn't necessary for that either. When some crazy person decides to trust me with their classical or jazz record, I might revisit the issue. I never do batch conversion and I have other options at any rate. Not as convenient, but I am a geek anyway - I get pleasure simply by opening windows. So long as I can make a montage and burn a disc, I am good to go. I will definitely check out some of the tutorials, that old Friedemann Tischmeyer tutorial I have isn't exactly edge of the seat excitement! Thanks again, very very much.

A big thanks to Team V.R. and Horsemen for this release

I installed it and it works fine but I also have version 6 by H2O and version 6 seems to do way more than this version. It has a whole lot of different meters and also when version 9 changed the computer calendar my virus checker programme said the licence had run out. So, in my case Version 6 is the best choice and also is not an Elements version

Jonmoi let me just put you right on a few things for Solstice day. Your "virus checker" did not tell you the license had run out at all. The hysteria over the VR craic briefly changing the computer time has all been settled in previous posts which you seem to be oblivious of. Everything works just fine and is perfectly safe. The Elements version does have slightly less metering ie the Phasescope but that can be easily supplemented. The old AiR version 6 does not have way more features at all its just that the later versions have a ribbon which hides all the clutter of the menus. Also
bear in mind that that old craic is from 2008 and is an x86 application only. Wavelab is not a Stradavarius - there's absolutely no advantage in antique software

My Dear Old oisinn

Why are you so antagonistic with your reply

I did not say version 9 was rubbish I said it worked fine.

All I said was that my virus checker did stop working and that it said that my licence had expired because the computer date was now way off in to the future.

I also said only that for ME, Wavelab 6 was the best choice.

This is not a slinging match

Regards

Jon

Listen young fella
I'm not trying to slag you off rather lead you back into the paths of righteousness. Team V.R have given us a lot of very useful and interesting stuff but there's been a lot of unjustified hysterical bitching on this forum about their craics being viruses and hijacking computers etc etc. All this was resolved in comments in earlier posts so before you start resurrecting that slander let me just reassure you that your computer time will temporarily, for a couple of minutes, read 2064 while the crack is doing its thing. Russian hackers are not taking over the western world. After that your clock will reset to normal and you will have use of a bang up to date, 64bit, significantly augmented over the legit, Wavelab Elements 9 for the next 48 years.
If as you say you prefer sticking with what you've got then that's your choice but there's no accounting for taste.

Hi oisinn

Just a last entry from me

I have no intention of bad mouthing Team VR or joining those that do

I am in awe of the skills that all these crackers possess and am very grateful for the various software programmes released....many of which I have made use of.
I also don't subscribe to the 'Russians taking over computers or the world'

However I will say that in my case the computer date did not rectify itself and for the small amount of use that I put Wavelab to, the version I had did the job

Its a bit like updating Office when all one is using is about 2% of Word...thats really all I was getting at

Regards

Jon

Long live Team VR, R2R and Audioutopia etc they're all great

And just so you know I have no problem with the paths of righteousness either!!

Old thread, I know . . . but can this be installed on Windows 10? I've been trying and the eLicenser extender app just sits there for the longest time and doesn't seem to be doing anything. It works just fine for me on Windows 7.
