Melodyne is a software application for OS X or Windows with which you can edit audio in a more musical way than was ever thought possible. In Melodyne, you work with notes – and not with a meaningless wave form. You don’t just see where the music gets louder or quieter but also where notes begin and end and at what pitch they lie.

You can modify each note and thereby influence directly the intonation, phrasing and dynamics – and do this not only with vocals and monophonic instruments but with polyphonic instruments such as pianos and guitars as well.

Working with Melodyne is like being able to say to a vocalist “sing this note a bit longer” or to a pianist “give slightly less weight to the third in this chord” – hours, weeks, even years after the recording session.

I've just installed and tested it.
Works flawlessly in Reaper x 64 latest build under windows 7 x64.
It works but at object level with ara integration in samplitude X3 x64 (edit : at track level too, but don't use it at track level and at oibject level in the same project thought or you won't be able to load it back it will crash), I haven't tested it yet in samplitude X2, I think I'm gonna stick to X3, mainly for melodyne integration and better interface...

That's interesting.
I can load Melodyne at Object Level in X3 but can't find a way to transfer the audio into Melodyne.

The Object Level loading process i'm using is: > Select Object > Right Click > Effects (Offline) > Plugins > Add Plug-in > Melodyne > Edit > Play > Transfer in Melodyne doesn't work.

At track level it works flawlessly and projects load back without a glitch.

Did you install the melodyne that you dl from sam X3 or did you use R2R celemony studio release ? Activate the VST3 in vst preferences in Sam ? Because I had your issue before I use the r2R release, which allow to take advantage of the new integration with ara at object level by using the vst3, which is much much better. No transfer to do at object level, it's all instantenous with ara I put celemony on the object and I have immediately all the blobs in melodyne and they appear as midi data in the clip. You should have that it's the whole point of this ara integration at object level, the integration at track level which brings crash at reload for me (with the celemony studio from R2R) in vst3 and 2 but only if I also use melodyne at object level at the same time. At track level it is less usefull because it's flawed and it's not possible to use ara integration (thus you have to "transfer" the audio yourself you don't have to do that with ara at object level), it also wasn't possible with X2 (although I didn't have this bug), and the whole point of X3 is to be able to use celemony with ara at object level. Which Samplitude tells you when you use celemony at track level "take advantage of ARA power by using it at Object level in VST3" I'm sure if you use R2R release it will work for you too. And I think it bugs Edit : I fixed my issue, see below....
And to open melodyne at object level I just go to the object editor and I choose melodyne vst3 in the list of fxs in the fxs slot...

REDIT : I got it ! You have to choose. At least I do...It loads back fine with melodyne at track level ONLY if I don't have any melodyne at object level...If I have melodyne both on tracks and objects then it crashes...The integration at object level is so well done, no hesitation for me....You can access every object that have melodyne in them from the main melodyne window (with r2r studio edition) the different tracks that have objects with melodyne in them are all accessible from the main melodyne studio interface and it's smart enought to have the whole sequence of objects in the same track who have melodyne in their chain appeared in melodyne as one track with blanks between the blobs that represents your object. Basicely it reconstitutes your tracks in melodyne (as long as you have melodyne Vst3 in the fx chain of all the objects you want to see in melodyne) even if you use melodyne only at obect level...Sweet.

Talmi, i really appreciate your help and the detailed explanation about your experience with Samplitude X3 and Melodyne.
I am sure it'll be helpful to other users as well.

I can confirm the bug/crash when Melodyne is used simultaneously at Track level and Object level.

I was not using the method you mention above for inserting Melodyne at Object level.
I was using the steps i mentioned before (right clicking the object, selecting Effects Offline and inserting Melodyne that way)

Using the Object Editor it works as you mentioned.

Excellent. Updated fine and running perfectly in Studio One V3. The new fixed ability of ARA to work properly with multiple tracks within the one window (without selecting the other takes on the track lanes) is a massive time saver, esp if you want to adjust more than one track at a time - select all the blobs and time/pitch adjust way.

fucking thing has corrupted file 29. Either I am dumb or it doesent work. I have tried 6 different waves downloads now.
