Zynaptiq ADAPTIVERB v1.1.0-R2R screenshot

Team R2R | Nov 14 2016 | 42 MB
ADAPTIVERB is a revolutionary reflectionsless reverberation plugin. Unlike traditional reflection-based acoustic room modeling, ADAPTIVERB adds perceived depth, harmonic richness, and butter-smooth tails without obscuring the source. Preserving the tonal definition and directness of your mix, it adds size, glue and body – making it perfect for mixing and mastering applications alike.

Powered by ray tracing, source separation, and advances in artificial intelligence, ADAPTIVERB automatically adapts to the input audio like a chameleon, blending with your sounds perfectly, and conforming its reverb tail to the tonality of the input or a user defined set of notes.

While exceptionally fast to use, its advanced synthesis, cross-filtering and reverb pitch processing functionality provides ambient artists, film composers and sound designers with exciting new creative options for making evolving drones, organic pads, lush ambient sound scapes, and more.

The key ADAPTIVERB features at a glance:

- Revolutionary new reverberation approach with unique sonic characteristics.
- Bionic Sustain Resynthesis creates stunningly organic tails, eliminating noisy components from the input for clear, harmonic results free of graininess.
- Harmonic Contour Filter (HCF) circuit for removing effect components not in tune with the input, a captured harmonic fingerprint, or a set of notes defined using an on-screen keyboard.
- Filtering and pitch quantization based HCF Keyboard modes to conform the effect to a specific key.
- HCF HOLD mode for creating cross-filtering effects.
- Ray Tracing and Allpass based reverb engines.
- Input FREEZE function for creating drones, pads or infinite reverb type sounds.
- SIMPLIFY function that recreates the input’s harmonic content with a small amount of oscillators for additive synthesis type sounds — without the warbliness.
- RICHNESS parameter for adding octave, fifth or unison interval harmonics into the reverb.
- Pre-Processing section including harmonic synthesis based AIR.
- More than 400 presets covering a broad range of effects, including bread-and-butter reverbs, “invisible” reverbs, instrument-/voice-colored reverbs, cross-filtering, adaptively filtered delays, and pads/drones that play without input signal.
- MIDI control of all key parameters.

So maybe it's more CPU friendly now

Thank you R2R and Horsemen

BTW there is a long and very interesting review of this plugin in SOS this month. Here

This plugin is excellent. darthloud doesn't know what he's talking about. Sounds like he's probably using a laptop from 1989 and blaming the plugin lol. My two cents. The plugin runs well and sounds great (to any concerned). This is one of 3 reverbs that made it onto my studio machine (for what it's worth).

Thx Horsemen and great job R2R!

Shame if it rly does sound bad, darthloud? Interesting idea (well the HCF thing) but it does seem like a load of bullshit hype. Reflectionless reverb? Looking forward to their equalisationless EQ! Guess I'll wait and see. Once I have free time to check it out, after the endless series of awesome reverb we already got!
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

Man, I would love to have this for Mac. I know several big time composers using this.

Wasn't gonna download it until I read they fixed the CPU usage. It's an amazing plugin but very demanding, hopefully it will be easier to use it now, thank you horsemen!

Yes agree, loved the original release but it was too heavy to use in a full, blown mix while overdubbing so I'm happy the optimised version is out for us to try.

@darthloud, @Psychator, @Sonny Crock @StUt0pi4
actually 2 options to reduce the cpu load

I checked this out a lil bit, and the sound is a bit unexpected. At least, if ur expecting reverb. It's more like one of those weird diffusion delay fx. Kinda (very) misleading. The latency is prty fucked, even on a decent machine. I mean u can use preview mode & it will just about struggle to be useful "live" on an i5. U rly need a good i7 to use it practically, tho.

I thought the sound was fine, but I was more focussed on messing around w/ HCF on various pianos. I prolly need to experiement more & RTFM, because u can still get interesting results and fx w/ not knowing anything, rly XD
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

First, the biggest shoutout to the R2R group for their amazing deliveries week after week, you guys are so great!
Question, any ideas on the latency on this pluginn. I have a new windows 10, 6 core, i7 system with good specs, 32 gb memory, running from a fast m2 harddisc. Still not fluid real time playing possible. Possibly anything to do with settings. don mean the buffer size. Read a comment of someone with a high end system playin with no problem..

Are Mac versions in general harder to crack than Windows? I have both, but in general prefer the reliability of a Mac (mine is a Hackintosh with separate Sierra and W8.1 drives)...
I've heard so much great stuff about the new Zynaptiq plugs, this reverb and also the Morph thing. But sadly Mac versions not planned? Surely guys like R2R could do it if they wanted to.
