So, I'll give a test run to see all the fuzz, and if it's better than my personal mastering chain that took months to make.

So... After a small test, this thing clearly is NOT that good.

You have to stage the source material properly.. which at minimum is usually lowering the input gain by about 4.8dB on most mixes I hear nowadays. If you've already squeezed the dynamics in your mix you can adjust this thing so it doesn't jump on it so hard.

Used it previously when i was new to mastering....didn't get good results though....
But Now NO need of this ....As i have learn't everything about Mastering through tutorials provided here in audioz !
Preset based mastering can never be as good as doing yourself !!

You should try it again without using the presets this time around. It's not just a black screen with a drop down menu for presets. Using presets was a choice you made. It's not a limitation of the program.

You referred to it as "preset based". It's not. And I said nothing about an amount of knobs.. only you did. How many knobs does The Glue, or Stereo Imager D have? -Not many. Do they have presets? -Yes. Are they preset based plugins? -No. You can still spend hours with this Lurssen Console tailoring it to a specific mix or album. Mastering is intended for the transparent maximization of the already mixed song or album. It's not supposed to be a heavy and creatively destructive process like mixing can be. It helps to know the difference.

Like I said.. If you can't get nothin out of this thing it has to do with you. There Are others who checked it out enough to know there's more than the 7 knobs you only seem capable of finding. The In stage knob is crucial. The push control knob is crucial. And the reference tape marker knob surrounding that is probably most crucial of all. There are also threshold knobs on a secondary window. Those who are familiar with what's there, and more importantly know how to stage and use what's there in conjunction get good results. Don't shun it because you couldn't find the other controls and your puppy ears prevented you from getting anything out of it. That's your experience, not the experience others had who were able to steer it in a good direction.

Do whatever suites for you. :) Some people find this amazing. Some find this not. It all goes down to taste.

At the end people won't ask how you master :) Heck, Not all listeners notice they just notice the music. And thats the reality :)

so what tutorials did you do? and what genre of music do you do mostly?
Every video tutorial i've done here on mastering... Never sounded like what a pro mastering engineer does... Hence that i've released some releases that had been played by the Topnotch and mastered by the pro's that do Mastering for Techno productions... And I do have a good setup...

I'm not going to download this even for free. If you're not capable of tweaking a compressor+EQ+Limiter to master a song properly and you don't have proper monitoring you just shouldn't do it. Simple as that. No magic program can help you master a song as well as you can on a decent sound system with a couple of plugins or hardware pieces and good, trained pair of ears. Period.

For some reason the keygen won't open and thus I can't authorize. I tried to run it as admin, tried all compatibility settings and disabled Avast. Can anyone point me in the right direction how to solve this?

Never had a problem before with other IK Multimedia products or R2R releases.

Strange, I can run v1.03 but v1.1 just creates distorted sound on my system. I'd like to keep the extra presets of v1.1 but I can't locate them, and figure they are inside the VST.dll file.
