when I tried to install this update, it shows an error says there's no installation before or cannot found library on installation location(guess it is in registry?)
is there a way to install this update without install original library again? cuz I've installed it on a removable hdd, and it needs time to re-install them again.

i had the same problem, but could solve it this way:

in the registry, add the entries

reg key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Kontakt Factory Library
REG_SZ value: ContentDir
data: your path to library (e.g. C:\Libraries\Native Instruments\Kontakt Factory Library\)

or create a text file (e.g. KFL.reg) with this content

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Kontakt Factory Library]
"ContentDir"="C:\\Libraries\\Native Instruments\\Kontakt Factory Library\\"

and merge it into the registry.

it seems to be important that the name of the reg key is exactly "Kontakt Factory Library", not "Kontakt 5 Factory Library", or the like.

done so, update installation was working as expected.

I've checked my registry data, the reg key set to my kontakt factory library correctly. However it still doesn't work.

The trick with the txt file worked here.
its important with the "Kontakt Factory Library" Dont rename the folder and make the \\ not a single \
It installs correctly the update

Hey guys,

Is this also for mac? I used Keka to extract the files. all of the DMGs are giving the same error that the Kontakt Factory Library is not installed.

I'm not sure if Pagurida's comments are on Mac or PC, but I don't know what "adding it to the registry" means. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it!
