Audified MixChecker v1.0.1-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 17 Jul 2016 | 7.3MB
MixChecker is mixing assistant that will help you to get better mixes instantly. MixChecker saves your precious time. Plug it in the master track of your project as the last segment of your listening chain and quickly turn your studio monitors into classic reference monitors or several consumer devices.

You Mix For The People

Have you ever wondered why your music, your videos, showreels and movies do not sound well when you move out of your studio? Why do they lose punch and clarity that your awesome studio monitors deliver? That is because you do not use the same equipment the real people use. To bring the best quality to your audience, you need to check your mixes as often as possible. That is why we made MixChecker. Because we know You mix for the People.

Do You Hear What They Hear?

The consumers, the people you are mixing your content for, do not use hi-end studio monitors. They watch TV, listen to music in their cars. They even use their desktop speakers, tablets and smartphones or their earphones. You need your mix to sound great despite of what lousy conditions your audience uses.

No more extra exports

In past, to ensure your mix sounds right on any device, you had to export your sound and listen in different conditions. Import your mix to your smartphone, burn on CD and listen in your car, get back to your studio, do little tweaks and export again...

Now you can use the MixChecker to perform quick round test that will only take a few seconds. And get back to mixing and corrections while you still know what the problem in your mix was.

What it does

MixChecker functions are divided into two sections. The Simulation offers acoustic models of several consumer devices and classic reference monitors. Pressing a single button will turn your monitors into the selected device.

Not all studio monitors deliver flat frequency response. Therefore we also added the Compensation section. It will allow you to tell MixChecker, you are using average 5" or 8" speakers or headphones. That will change the resulting sound accordingly.

The Bypass button turns all processing off. When enlighted, only clean signal comes through MixChecker.

How it is done

Audified measured the frequency responses and behaviour of all the devices listed in MixChecker in laboratory conditions to create their true and faithful models that you can rely on.

Anyone know how decent this is? I love the idea; but some plugins I've tried leave a lot to be desired. I'll give it a go! Thanks R2R!

@ DECiBELLE,

Thanks a lot for this new product which looks promising (and could be really useful !) if it really does what it pretends... Let's check it.

Thanks to 'Team R2R' too for letting us try this new 'Audified' product.

P.S: Not sure if it exists nowadays, but if one day it may, its 'hardware' counterpart could also be a 'must-to-have' in some 'Home Studios', or for people involved in mastering/mixing audio stuff without a lot of means to buy several different Monitors and/or Speakers...

Hardware would cost too much and this is simply an EQ most of the time. I don't think MEs would buy that. After all, you have Focusrite VRM if you want "hardware". It is pretty much the same thing.

Yes, there is a mac version there

This type of question is frowned upon here, because it's very easy to see if there is a MAC version of anything, and for some people it is just a way to request a version that a group will release in their own good time:
1.) on the left you will see a button labeled "Software."
2.)Click n it, and a "windows" section will open, and also a "Mac" section under it.
3.) Simply click "Mac" and in the search-box type the name of the Mac software you want.
-If it is available on this site - anywhere - you will find it.
- This includes even software marked "Win" and "Mac": that would show up on BOTH the "windows" section AND the "Mac" section.
If you registered in 2012, and are a Resident, I can't understand how you wouldn't already know this.
I'm not trying to be a dick - just trying to help you not be down-voted, save other people the work of having to answer your question because you would prefer someone else check for you, rather than checking yourself - and make it quicker for you to check.
The menu on the left is very important - and extremely precise.
Just a friendly reminder, friend - peace.

Update: Tried out on Cubase Pro 8 (Windows 7) and Cubase Elements 8 (Windows 8.1), VST, 64 and 32 bit. Working perfectly. The sound is pretty good. I really wish the headphone "compensation" would have included some crossbleed between the ears (to simulate speakers). Good plugin though. Maybe, with Isone as well, this could be pretty useful.

For "speaker like" sound on headphones with crossbleed and other subtle soundstage effects, try the HeAr v3 system by Flux (part of the Flux IRCAM Tools bundle, available via search here). I listened to quite a few plugins like Isone, and I think this Flux one might have the most "natural" and least fatiguing sound (and the lamest name ever).

You pop it on and it's like "yep, that's exactly what I remember the sound stage of this reference CD sounded like on speakers". They include a few different "virtual rooms" you can flip like presets, or just listen dry.

I have found that TransVST wraps plugins fine but when i open a session with a wraped plugin it will always crash Pro Tools
Blue cat might be the go
but thanks LPC

He encontrado que envuelve TransVST plugins bien, pero cuando abro una sesión con un plug-in Wraped será siempre de choque Pro Tools
Gato azul podría ser el camino
pero gracias LPC

For processor plugins Blue cat is the choice, for other plugins Instruments/Synth whether x64 or x86 REAPER is my ultimate solution.

This plugin is way off base and inaccurate. In fact the plugin on car stereo, over the ear, and in the ear headphone settings, make my mix sound muddy and narrow. Yet when I actually reference my mixes on an actual flat car stereo, and in ear and on ear headphones. They're pretty accurate to how I wanted my mix to sound. Seems like the plugin drastically cuts the high end and narrows the shyt out of the stereo field on a few settings, Too bad, I had high hopes for this thing.

Yeah I found the car setting to be the most unrealistic, though not the only one.

I guess it's all for the best anyway, because at $150 I would never have bought this, even if it were very good. Try $50. Much appreciation to R2R for giving me the chance to test it out with no strings.

Ah, that's disappointing. I'll still give it a go, but not get too upset if it turns out not to be great. Thanks for your work.
