I really dont think it is of any use if you dont own the kontrol S. normal midi keyboards will stay normal midi keyboards so no light guide no chords en no auto detect of software and auto map it. Same counts for Maschine software, you can use it manualy but its really not the same as using it with the controller.
Stuff like this is more then welcome of course, wish someone could share vip from Akai, no request but just a thought. as the thought is the father of the wish..

It is useful for people who are not keyboard players. They are able to use the scale mode to play chords and use other valuable play modes even without the use of a S-Series keyboard.

So I don't need it as I do play my keyboards and chords, and drums. Besides, I don't use anything NI much, except FM7/8 and Kontakt sometimes.

Some of the NI FX are suprisingsly awesome - the transient one and eq / compressors are colored very nicely.

during installationit asked for the vst location. it only recognized my arturia v collection synths (vst3) and i have a dozen other(vst2), and the browser acts exactly like Analog Lab, absolutely nothing else. uninstalled after a minute. dont waste your time on this crap. with ni komplete it is a whole different story though

I dunno, its pretty sweet for a "performance mode" vst. Massive, the "omnisphere -> kontrol" library, kontakt libs, etc. Just my two cents.

Cant wait for someone to make a Custom Komplete VST Browser gen so we can all make our own :)

Possible bug: When I first tried to install from the native EXE, it said the MSI was mis-aligned and closed. I went to DATA folder, took the MSI from there, pasted over the MSI in the root folder and re-launched native EXE. Installed perfectly.

OS: Win 10 x64
