SideKick Extended 6 is the easiest, yet most comprehensive side-chain compressor that works in your VST and/or AU compatible host on Mac and Windows. Hmm... blurb says check out the demos but I don't see any on their site.

At only ~$40 if I were gonna use it I'd just pay the guys, but I can't picture what it could do that a compressor doesn't - or for that matter, since you're just sending a sidechain signal to a compressor, how it is in any way more convenient or even any different from a regular compressor (except of course, that it doesn't do compression lol)

Has a nice interface though. I was almost lured in, but they're doing a pretty poor job of selling their product IMO.

It crash my cubase elements 7. My system is windows 7 x64 and elements x64. When i open, my daw freeze for the moment when adjust the parameters of sidechain, but i close the window of plug and this bug freeze lag in cubase elements 7 disapear. I hope like this team VR post one update for fix this strange bug :-) but keeping in this direction and release for us the cubase 7.5 or 8.5 pro. This is a gem :-) good work for this team VR. Hugs.
