What a junk plug. Waldorf attack sounds just as good for about 30 times the savings in resources. That's what a physical model plug is all about!

I really don't understand why everyone here is so dissatisfied with this...am I missing something here? I've tried Tremor and Waldorf Attack and neither sounds as good or is as powerful as this one. So I don't get it, what does everyone here dislike about it?

I neither like Tremor nor Attack too much, although Attack is indeed flexible and low-carb. Rob Papen's Punch is my current favorite, not only because of its features, but mainly for its *sound*.

Yes Stix is a good plug I agree : with this, Tremor, Attack from waldorf and Heartbeat (Softube) and indeed Punch we get a great diversity of drum machines which all bring in different flavors and assets and it's awesome ! Thanks VR for this one and the other teams for the opportunity to assess all of these !

I think this plug is a great addition to a drum synth collection. Sounds really nice to my ears... it can produce some exciting rhythmic perc loops. I love it.

CPU usage is not the greatest, but I don't really care much about that.

C: Program Files/Steinberg/VSTPlugins is the install location of dll. I agree that no option to change install location is a bit inconvenient, but still, be grateful for Team VR and their amazing releases.

the thing is, there is no VST file in my unused steinberg folders. and the VST32/VST64 folders of stix and XILS in somewhere in C are empty as well. it would be not a big problem, if i could chose the install location itself, but it's not possible via these fucked up russian installers. it is not only in this case!
