Audiority SideFilter v1.1 [WiN-OSX] Incl Keygen-R2R screenshot

Team R2R | March 10 2016 | WiN 5 MB | OSX 7 MB
Side Filter is special High Pass filter focused on removing bass frequencies from the Side portion of a stereo mix. This filter is very useful to tighten up the low end of your mix or to help you prepare a vinyl ready master.

v1.1 (March 2016)
– New framework
– Minor bugs fixed

What a useless plguin :D
You can achieve that behaviour with every m/s EQ like DMG Equality, FabFilter Q2 and many, many other. Even DAW built-in eq's can do that (mostly).

Don't use such a fatuous tool ...

Its about filter mathematics. Pro q doesnt have butterworth or bessel filter. DMG ---> deluxe EQ: Coincident, Butterworth, Chebyshev, Bessel, Critical

You wouldn't notice the difference between a butterworth filter vs. usual 12/24dB highpass, especially not in bass frequencies.

and its quick and simple to use, no reason to complain about this little tool.

I usually use bx control for this type of stuff... widening the bassline , slamming fx on it with no fear of mono issues and on the end of a chain before limiter for reassurance of a solid ass... 120 hz usually my roll of point , handy with that one coz you get width control as well... I'm going to compare the two now though , thanks a lot

Hi guys,
I understand that my little plugin could be seen as useless, but sometimes "less is more". When I work on PT, as example, I find myself using the 1 band EQ at the beginning of my chain A LOT. When I had to master some tracks, I often find the need to have something like that, but only to process the side part and thicken the low end.

About Butterworth vs Bessel:
while Butterworth is the most common type of filter you can find on EQs (since the frequency response at passband is flat and has a very efficient slope), sometimes a Bessel would be favorited since has a smoother phase response and a smoother slope. This is very useful when you have to rebuild the signal back from a MS processing, especially during mastering when phase coherence is a must. If you are processing your tracks for a client or for mastering (especially for material that will be printed on vinyls), I advise the use of the Bessel filter over the Butterworth.

My 2 cents

Cheers,
Luca

Isnt it weird that the original developer is a long time audioz member and posts on a warez version thread to explain about why this plugin exists? :/

well, I complain about the releases all the time (that's why I registered), especially when they happen really soon to the official release. What would you expect? The usual rants, with legal threats and so on? ;) I find that's more useful to talk. Who knows me know that this is my only job and Audiority is a "one man band". I'm confident that who really appreciate and will use my software, will buy it.

Cheers,
Luca
