Yes, indeed true! TEAMs release always the same old *cheese*. But also developers seem to develop less. Not by any means comparable with the "glorious" days from 2009–2013!

They actually mentioned this in their notes that came with the U-He releases last Christmas/New Year. In the text file enclosed, it was stated that they would only regularly release stuff that are updates to already released software and with protection schemes that have already been broken. Any new software may come up whenever the next holiday will strike us.

The reasons given for this new release strategy is to try and deter couriers from just uploading every single update to whatever software just to make some extra money off the different mirrors they provide. While the protection will then change and R2R can start their somewhat ungrateful job pretty much from the start. I know Kookaboo is heavily against this money-making practice and I think he would therefor applaud this tactic.

Additionally, this strategy allows R2R to save up on their cracks by having developers release their new stuff under the same old protection scheme that they (supposedly) already cracked internally. Then whenever the holiday strikes and R2R decides to open their vaults, they can actually release several pieces of software coming from the same developer with only having to make the cracking effort once. They are already doing this job free of charge and even while endangering themselves to the law. I can't really say I mind them trying to minimize the work needed to keep doing what they do best and we love most.

Kind of noticed that I'm probably within the minority that actually reads the enclosed NFO and text files from top to bottom. I would still like to encourage other people to start doing the same. As you can see, you can learn a thing or two from doing so and may even feel more understanding and gratitude towards teams like R2R and many others that make it possible for us to make music while not really having the means to do so legitimately.
