will test how this stands against workflow of S1

edit 1:

yet as first impression on first launch: it took up to 15min to 'scan' vst plugins, then another 5min to 'load' vst plugins.. (its funny to see things like that for a 2016 daw, while other daws like REAPER or S1 fires up nearly instantly..)

edit 2: as i try to explore it a bit further, i decided to load up a multitrack session (about 16 tacks) of just some 44.1khz .wav files, as i type.. it started importing the .wav files, by analyzing, processing something.. its been now more than 10min doing this, (on another daw, this would have been already done in less than a minutre)

and YET a thing that i start to fucking hate:, as im on win10, DP9 somehow hijacks the CTRL+WINkey - left/right arrow keyboard shortcuts, so it makes impossible to easily swipe from one virtual desktop to another one.. to do something else in another application while its doing that import processing bullshit.. i have to click on the windows taskbar and press those keyboard shorcuts to navigate to another virtualdeskop where i have the browser., and as DP9 is still busy doing that stupid import/processing bullshit (MORE THAN FUCKING 10min now), i cant even switch back to the active virtualdesktop where DP9 is launched, WTF??

edit 3: after it took about 15min to import 16 tracks, why in the mixer tab it shows only ONE fader ??? logically, you are supposed to see channels of every track in a mixer, where are all the other tracks? LOL -- and why there are no standard SOLO and MUTE buttons on the main editor? .. i have noticed that every time i click on something, there is some hard drive / processing activity (with a small lag)... WTF? .. that remembers me a bit how performed ancient daws of the late of 1990's (im on a i7, 32gb ram DDR3 and SSD's and win10 here)

edit 3: i really dont know why i wasted time with this, thanks to the original uploader for providing the opportunity to try "this", uninstalling & deleting, and best of luck to MOTU.

it did load all of them, except a few problematic ones that are not working properly in other daws as well and that i forgot to uninstall and delete.

Windows version will never shine probably :)
On Mac side, DP is great software, but first you have to learn how to use it.
It's very common in movies/orchestral arrangements. I don't know what is with Mac version, only windows version is available for download. Latest 9.01 cannot be installed on mac, it asks for licence file.

Also, it has a great MIDI recording flow.

DP is a great daw, I love it. But unfortunately it is heavy on my i5, 8gb, 2.50G hz laptop. Lovely share anyway, thanks.
Can anyone tell me is it updated with the Pre-gen engine?

So you're pretty lucky! it took more than 3 hours to examine my VST plugins and more than one hour to load them! it is continuously crashing and I've got absolutely no sound out of it, either through Asio4all or the Asio driver from my Presonus Audiobox USB. There is only ONE DAW on this planet and it's called R E A P E R!!!

WTF..i am trying one hour the first scan and to reach the interface,,,,And holy sh***t i am still waiting ... Holy crap i had a Musical Idea but i feel sleepy now :P Hell i hope someday i Will reach the interface and see this beautiful mythical daw and test its capabilities...And After that let me die peacefully...

Ok thats it ..i put this sh**t out of my pc....I have Studio one..Ableton. Fl Studio and pro tools and i think there is nothing better yet ...well i wish i had cubase too in my arsenal
