Process Explorer screenshot
this will be the first post in my section sys.tools, where i shall share "must have" appz for managing your Windows.
because unfortunately, that where most of us stuck...

Process Explorer is a replacement for your standard Task Manager, was developed by Sysinternals a long time ago, and later bought by Microsoft.
since then, everybody who used Process Explorer wondered why Microsoft wouldn't just replace their Task Manager with this one...
anyway, i would say it is a must have.

Ever wondered which program has a particular file or directory open? Now you can find out. Process Explorer shows you information about which handles and DLLs processes have opened or loaded.

The Process Explorer display consists of two sub-windows. The top window always shows a list of the currently active processes, including the names of their owning accounts, whereas the information displayed in the bottom window depends on the mode that Process Explorer is in: if it is in handle mode you'll see the handles that the process selected in the top window has opened; if Process Explorer is in DLL mode you'll see the DLLs and memory-mapped files that the process has loaded. Process Explorer also has a powerful search capability that will quickly show you which processes have particular handles opened or DLLs loaded.

The unique capabilities of Process Explorer make it useful for tracking down DLL-version problems or handle leaks, and provide insight into the way Windows and applications work.

Microshaft will never replace its task manager with Process Explorer because Windows is primarily designed for point-and-click artists who do not know the difference between a computer byte and a flee bite.

Look at your own users; You have already asked them twice why they keep posting useless smilie and thank-you posts instead of using the thank-you button. Need I say more?

don't even get me started...there was a time where I had to do a shitload of different stylesheets because even by the time IE8 was around there still were users on IE5.5 so customers wanted that specified adaptation rather than optimizing towards new technologies and therefore forcing the user to upgrade...

Yes Sysinternals is one of the best ever software maker :-)
Don't forget to check also the other nice gems in their suite, that by the way is also online:

http://live.sysinternals.com/

Oh yes, if you don't have your tools in your USB key (a BIG error :-)) you can always follow the procedure on their site:

Sysinternals Live is a service that enables you to execute Sysinternals tools directly from the Web without hunting for and manually downloading them. Simply enter a tool's Sysinternals Live path into Windows Explorer or a command prompt as http://live.sysinternals.com/<toolname> or \\live.sysinternals.com\tools\<toolname>.
