And for those who, like me, are enraged by the search in Arcade and who cares about speed and viewing.
The best way to use it is through the Komplete Kontrol program. Then install and use the NKS Output Arcade files, which s_aizawa on the NI forums kindly maintains.

Then in KK you can select a specific line, for example "Chopped" ... see all the kits included in that particular line, listen and all without "searching" and slowing down. You can also mark favorites, sort by instrument, etc.

How am i supposed to download all these files on dropbox?? I even have a paid account and it wont let me download everything at once? It says too large for zip file

word of advice, just move on from this release, it's unusable in a production environment trust me and you'll save 100+ GB of space. Just use Omnisphere . It's a good attempt but nothing from FLARE on this in a long time.

Anyone able to explain why jar file won't open? got latest jdk, downloaded jarfix, tried heaps of command line solutions but zero result....

Uninstall java and reinstall latest version, or a 3rd party java latest version:

Uninstall Oracle Java using the Terminal:

Note: To uninstall Java, you must have Administrator privileges and execute the remove command either as root or by using the sudo tool.

Remove one directory and one file (a symlink), as follows:

Click on the Finder icon located in your dock
Click on the Utilities folder
Double-click on the Terminal icon
In the Terminal window Copy and Paste the commands below:

sudo rm -fr /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin
sudo rm -fr /Library/PreferencePanes/JavaControlPanel.prefPane
sudo rm -fr ~/Library/Application\ Support/Oracle/Java

Do not attempt to uninstall Java by removing the Java tools from /usr/bin. This directory is part of the system software and any changes will be reset by Apple the next time you perform an update of the OS.

Note: After successfully uninstalling Java, you may remove Java Deployment cache using these instructions.
Remove Oracle Java cache on Mac

Click on the Finder icon located in your dock
Click on Go in the Finder menu
Click on Utilities
Double-click on the Terminal icon

In the Terminal window Copy and Paste the commands below:

rm -r ~/"Library/Application Support/Oracle/Java"

Someone happened that some libraries like x example hooked this appears .. if you are using an external drive, check the connection, then reload the kit. otherwise, re-download the kit, or replace missing loops.

installed komplete control but cannot load arcade on it how to load the plugin ?
i have installed both vst 3 and vst2 still there is not plugin in komplete
is there a way to get this plugin to work :)

open komplete kontrol > hit up your menu (next to your search icon) > edit > preferences > plugins > if arcade doesnt show up there go to the location tab and add your vst location

doesn’t work with native instruments, can’t load it in maschine or komplete control.
working fine on ableton though, i guess native instruments can detect it somehow

im on mac, i did that anyway and it shows up both in maschine and KK.
but whenever i load a kit it says it can’t find arcade plugin.
it’s very irritating cause i can see maschine and KK scanning arcade during the startup yet i can’t find it in my plugins.

I took some time and tried everything on my macbook now and I might have the solution for your problem.

please open komplete kontrol > hit up your menu (next to your search icon) > edit > preferences > plugins

is arcade there? can you choose it?

if not, you need to codesign your plugins. close everything and try this:

open terminal > xcode-select --install > enter (if it says already installed youre good)

then > sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Arcade.vst3 > enter

then > sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Arcade.vst > enter

and the last one > sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Arcade.component > enter

now open komplete kontrol again, go to your settings > plugins and hit the scan button. arcade should show up now

No possibility to change the visualization style of the presets of the imported expansions? For me it's almost impossible to move around the search bar since there're so many presets and perhaps, having moved the content to a conventional disk (not SSD), the search page updates very slowly. If it were possible to view the expansions as banks (like Arturia) it would be perfect but I haven't found any reference about it. I await some suggestions about it .... Thanks in advance to the brothers of the comunity!

For those having trouble running the Flare Arcade utility jar...
I downloaded jdk-18.jdk (https://jdk.java.net/18/) . In the Contents/Home/bin there is the java binary. I dragged it to a terminal window, typed in -lar and then dragged the utility jar to the window. Then I pressed enter. I had trouble with other methods, though I would try them first because it's easier than what I did.

Workaround option...for those having importing library errors/failures/not showing etc.
How I got the libraries to appear in Arcade on Mac Mojave (and above Im guessing)

1. Install Arcade on a PC
2. Import your libraries via Utility tool V2
3. Copy the "Arcade" folder from your PC - C:\ProgramData\Output\Arcade
(you will need an external drive to paste it to then connect it to your Mac)
4. Paste it to your Mac directory - Library/Application Support/Output

Ps: Press "Forget USB" if u get a message regarding Audio Content library.
