Hello Music makin Friends.

I installed this without any Problems.... runs native with all the Extensions on a External HDD on a M3MAx on 14.4.1 Sonoma.

I cannot speak for the Intel Version.

If anybody has Problems with the Install of the Libraries or Extensions.

User BigPluck explained it really well on the Moog Tribute Post.

Here is what he wrote: https://audioz.download/samples/226960-download_spectrasonics-bob-moog-tribute-library-v20c-steam.html

First be sure your STEAM folder is in the correct Library folder. That's the hidden one. The only way to access it is to hold the "Option" button while in a Finder window then you'll see the main Library folder. Once there go to Application Support then to Spectrasonics folder>STEAM>Omnisphere>Settings Library>Patches>Factory= this is where your "Moog Tribute Library.db" should live.

Then back out to Omnisphere>Soundsources>Factory= this is where your "Moog Tribute Library" should live.

The restart Omnisphere run your scan and viola.

I personally make a shortcut to the big main Library by selecting the folder and dragging it to the left window select where I want to make the alias and release. Now I have a direct path into that Library. I really hope all this helps.

I'm also on Sonoma 14.4.1 and working on Ableton Live Suite 12. I don't know what I did wrong but when I start playing the instrument there is no problem for some time and I start adding other instruments and deal with other channels. When I go back to Omnisphere my DAW crashes. I'd consider myself lucky if my patches were restored when I go back to my session. Did you ever experience this on Mac M1? It's just so frustrating I even stopped making music for a while because one of my big projects was dead because of omnisphere. I want to use this and unfortunately cannot afford the original so I have to crack it.

I can try re-installing alltogether but I'm not really into doing all that because I fear that I'll make it worse.

maybe Codesigning the Omnisphere App and the VST3 and AU brings the solution.
I didnt faced such problems until now.

I will try it with Cubase 13. And then i report if something strange pops up.

In the meanwhile you can read the following ---> https://audiosex.pro/threads/sip-enabled-for-steinberg-and-v-r-stuff.74681/

I have been experiencing an issues of crashing, bugging etc with this and it has been always like this. I almost gave up until I wanted to give another try to re-installing it.

So I tried a different installation this time. Instead of beginning installation with R2R copy which had folders like; Step 1 Installer, Step 2 Crack, Step 3 Patch Library Update and so on, I downloaded Omnisphere 2.8 Core Library and the setup file that was given under the same torrent file. Find it on sister site that ends with .in .

Lastly I updated with the file on this particular page.

I have been playing the instrument (VST3) for a while now and had no crash. I even tried to crash it like I applied some of the things that resulted the crash before and it still works. I have hope more than ever now. I love this instrument. Its capabilities combined in one instrument is unique.

I'm still anxious though. I'll have more idea if it'll crash in the future. I'll edit my post if that happens.

Ok... thank you for your Information.

But did you ever tried to run Omnisphere in Rosetta Mode?

I tried this now with Ableton 11.3.25. With the same Project which crashed before.

It runs stable now.

I will Test the 12 as well with Omnisphere in Rosetta Mode.

I will Report then here again by Editing this comment here aswell.

But also the Install was pretty easy. I installed this Version here.

Keep in Mind that you have to install also the latest 2.6.2 Soundsources and 2.8.2 Patch Library Updates. Otherwise this can cause also Crashes.

Also this Steam Core Library 2.8 is needed then.

Will Test now with Ableton 12 and this weird named Mode ---> called Rosetten-Modus.

In my native language the Word Rosette is = ANUS.

Thanks for the information as well. Unfortunately the same issue happened with me again. I have M1 Macbook Pro, I'll try the rosetta thing if I can. Very disappointed that I experienced the same issue.

Cheers to that translation of rosette.

I managed to open omnisphere with rosetta from the applications. So will it now open with rosetta on ableton as well?

managed to open omnisphere with rosetta from the applications. So will it now open with rosetta on ableton as well?

As far as i know ==> YES

By the Way: You can always check with the following command, which Architecture your Binary has.
In Finder:
Go to your VST or AU or Programm File.
Right Click with mouse. ---> show content ---> NAvigate to the Content/MAcOS Folder ---> There you have the binary.

Again ---> Right Click on this MAcOS Folder ---> At the bottom is Services. Click on Open new Terminal Window for this Folder.

Then a Terminal Window opens ..... and you are in the right directory.

Then Copy PAste this Command here.

sudo lipo -archs /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Analog\ Lab\ V.vst3/Contents/MacOS/Analog\ Lab\ V

Then Terminal gives you back......

x86_64 arm64

Which means it is U2B Universal Binary. For Intel and Apple Silicon.

x86_64 arm64 exact response I got from it. But the crash keeps happening as I try to edit midi notes from piano roll or simply when playing my midi keyboard. I'm running omnisphere with rosetta. Ughh such a headache this is... I started saving money to actually buy it but I'd rather fix this cracked version.

Ok let me know ..... when the time has come for the fix.

Which Ableton Version do you use? Still 12.0.2?

Yesterday i used Omnisphere 2.8.6c in Rosetten Modus in the newest Ableton 11.3.25 for 25 Minutes without crashes.

MAybe this is the Stable way for now if you have Deadlines.

No deadlines... Just want to make music without crashes. And omnisphere is probably the only instrument I use to make music. Welp here goes my 499 USD as soon as I have it together.

maybe you buy it second hand for half the Price.

HAve a look on Ebay or SisterSite here. The AudioSex Forum. have a look.

Or you try the 2.8.5f or d VErsion. I can say 2.8.5f crashes also. ...... But 2.8.5d i didnt Test for now.

I managed to solve it... Had no crashes at all. Non, at any daw. And here is how I did it.

Files you need;

STEAM files
Omnisphere MORiA installer
Omnisphere Soundsources Updater v2.6.2c
Omnisphere Patch Library Update v2.8.2c
Bob Moog Tribute Patch Files v2.0c

Instructions;
Gather all the files, place the STEAM folder in its supposed location "Users/(username)/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics"
Install omnisphere with MORiA installer;
Apply soundsource and patch library updates.

Now here's what you should carefully do.

Move Bob Moog Tribute Patch files to Omnisphere STEAM folder manually. Find the files in your download under the folder structure and move those files under the same structure of STEAM folder.

When you open up Omnisphere Standalone, the launch screen should look like the following;

INSTRUMENTS
Omnisphere Software 2.8.5f arm
Omnisphere Soundsources v2.6.2c
Omnisphere Patches v2.8.2c
Moog Tribute Patches v2.0c

Just to make sure that the omnisphere software don't connect to the internet and activate some kind of time bomb, I blocked its online communications from Little Snitch app. I don't know if this is necessary, but I did it anyway.

No need to run in rosetta or some shite like that. This really works. I've been working for days now. No crashes... I hope it works for y'all as well.

something I don't understand...did you install the software version posted here (2.8.6c)? Because you say that you see software version 2.8.5f when you open Omnisphere, and that is another post version

Worked fine on Intel. Moog was already updated. I just installed Soundsources v2.6.2c Patch Library v2.8.2c and then Omnisphere MORiA installer. This was on top of a recent install from MORiA.

First time installer here. I just installed this with patch and soundcore library compatible updates. Still getting a waveform error when I try to select a preset. Is there another part of this plugin that I still not loaded?

Hello everyone

I work with Mac M1.
I also installed it as a first installation everything works fine but in fact after 15-20 minutes it turns off unexpectedly, both in standalone and inside the Daw.
Therefore I uninstalled and installed the previous version 2.8.5f.
This one works well without problems. Good music.
