I get this messages in Logic!
I am confused as there's no steam folder to either replace or locate. I am on Monterey 12.4

The STEAM folder does not have write permission. Change permissions on STEAM folder, and all STEAM subfolders, to include Write access. If STEAM is on a removable drive, use System Preferences > Privacy and ensure that the host/DAW app has full access to the drive.

STEAM folder is not writable

Unable to access plugin folder at /Users/USER/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Omnisphere. Check folder permissions.

Cannot load Multi data because it is corrupted (either from song or from multi file ''). Try loading another Multi from the Multi browser.

Can somebody please please please help me here?

I know this post is a few months old. I installed this update over my 2.6.4c and I'm getting authorization window. Tried R2R offline authoriz and no dice..

Anyone run into this and how to solve it

Sorry for double posting (on R2R release as well as here)
- but I'm absolutely at a loss.

It doesn't matter whether it's one of the MORiA releases or R2R - Omnisphere first plays a sound, but then no more. (timebomb?)

Even if I open a session in Cubase and ONLY click on the track in the sequencer, Omnisphere immediately stops playing the sound, which it had previously loaded correctly.

In the standalone version I can also load sounds first, but then after a short time Omni doesn't play anything anymore.
Standalone is of course also opened as admin.

If I then uninstall completely (according to the instructions) in ALL folders and everywhere where it nests.

I have ongoing projects and it just doesn't work anymore.

Is it because I can't get my STEAM folder to "write"?

That was never a problem before and always worked.

Please help me.
And sorry for crying here.

I got further!

It's because of "loopMIDI" - a small tool, which is necessary for using the Cubase templates of "SideshowFX" to work in the StreamDeck.

I got it working after reading all post on many threads

1. Install Soundsource Library 2.6.1c
2. Install Patch Update 2.8.1c
2. Install Core Library 2.8

(The recent Omnisphere versions have a problem detecting the Soundsources/Factory/Core Library/zmap.index file so....

3. Install Software 2.6.4c Update
4. Open Omnisphere (use keygen, if necessary)
(I received an error stating the Patch and/or Sounsource version was from another version and might not be compatible, click ok and ignore)

4. Then install ONLY last Software update version 2.8.5f

Omnisphere works....

I did it all. Didn't work here. Still requests authorization code, and the one in 2.4.c update doesn't decode the Challlenge Code of 2.8.5 link.

Does this assume you already have a version of Omnisphere installed? Or are using another site for some of these resources? I personally downloaded (not really installed because it was just a folder full of files with nothing to actually "install") the Core library first bc I originally thought you only needed this file and the Core Library after reading a snarky comment that said as much. But if I follow your post literally you cannot install Soundsource Library 2.6.1c first. At least none of the downloads that are available from this site (as far as I can tell) since they're updates that assume you have a STEAM folder. Maybe the answer is to just make one and it'll all work out. That's what I'm going to do but just wanted clarification in case I run into a problem. I'll update regardless for all the other idiots that have no fucking clue what they're doing

Sidenote, why is omnisphere install so convoluted on here? On my previous computers I'd just download a torrent and install it, run a crack, and then it'd work. So I imagine it's possible. I get why people would want the option to download a small update file instead of the whole thing but I'm more surprised there isn't a single self sufficient release on here at all.

Update: Ok I figured out the confusion. The Core library release on this site says it includes Core library 2.8, Soundsource Library 2.6.1c, and Patch Update 2.8.1c. I personally do not see an installer or anything in the contents. Just a STEAM folder. My real time scan should've been off the entire time I've had it extracted so I assume it's just a STEAM folder you can copy and paste into where Omnisphere expects a STEAM folder should be. Going to try skipping to step 3 and see if I get anywhere. Will update on progress

Hey guys, how did you manage to get the VST and VST3 working on M1 macs ?

I read some comments that you did.

For me, it only works as na AU, and VST and VST3 plugins aren't displayed in my DAW

I use macOS Moneterey 12.5 on M1 Mac and a legit version of Ableton Live.

I installed everything, tried to codesign too, but got same results every time, even after re-installing.

I need VST version cause I used it in a LOT of older projects

I have a problem that no one seems to have I guess, I can't get all 4 layers in a patch to work and make sound at the same time with library samples not the synth. I got 3 to work a, b and d but couldn't get c to make sound with a sample. And this is just for layer 1. I couldn't get any other layer's to work properly either. Is this a norm or did I mess up the install?

When I launch logic pro x, I see Omnisphere appear but unfortunately when I click on it it asks me to locate the STEAM folder, but the problem is that in the file that I downloaded there is only one file which is "Omnisphere MORiA.dmg"
Anyone know how to do it?

Doesn't work here.

Following the usual steps, having internet connection disabled, nothing worked. I still tried having an older version of Omnisphere cracked (2.6.4c). It worked with Challege Code decoding by R2R, and then patched over in everywhere possiblie.

Still asks for authorization code.

Everything is installed, but...

"Cannot load SoundSource "Baritone Guitar DI a ^" from Directory "Core Library". File Baritone Guitar DI a ^.zmap may be missing or corrupted. Try refreshing the SoundSource Browser."

Refreshing doesn't work. WHere did I go wrong?
