Probably a stupid question guys - I have an earlier version of this (1.4), also by C.E. Do I need to uninstall this first before installing the updated version? And will all the presets I have be included in the new version?

don't know about installing two versions side by side, but my own presets were still there

For the benefit of anyone who is complaining about it crashing in Reaper, perform a manual scan of the vst - Options>Preferences>VST>Re-scan>Plug-ins that failed to scan - and it should work fine after that.

For anyone that reported this, tried the above themselves, and discovered it worked but didn't bother posting the solution in the comments...really?

Crashes my legit Cubase 14 Pro when trying to change the progs center window zoom to 75% or when i try to change any parameter.
Going back to v1.4.30.

About it taking a long time to load (in my case between 2 and 3 minutes) This is my experience and how I fixed the problem in Windows 10, using Presonus Studio One v6.5.2
If I open a project in Studio One that uses the TH-U plugin it takes 2 to 3 minutes to load the project because the Windows antivirus starts scanning the files.
I proceeded to exclude the folder,,, C:\Users\Your User\AppData\Roaming\Overloud in the Windows antivirus and now projects open very quickly like previous versions of TH-U.
I want to emphasize that the antivirus did not detect anything, that's why I excluded that folder.

OTOH, I've noticed that the SW doesn't respond to certain key presses. I can't confirm YES or NO with the keyboard but only with the mouse. Also DEL won't work in the standalone app, but it works on the VST. But maybe it's just me.

This was my problem every time I opened TH-U. Initially I was excluding the wrong folders to no avail so I tried turning off Defender before starting TH-U and that worked Minutes of waiting became seconds. This solution works even better because there is nothing left to do. Could be a dodgy but working crack. It has happened once with a version a few years ago. This is a fantastic sounding version, BTW. Nice options for any guitar I've tried, so far.

Thank you very much for this. For me it is the best emulator. For the sound, I practice it, etc. It's good that they have modified the interface, the previous one was somewhat tedious.

Not only do I not like the new browser, I don't like the new interface. The only step forward for me was the redesigned models (they look a little nicer); but when you consider the plugin loads much slower it just doesn't make sense for me to upgrade. Needless to say I've since downgraded to v1.4.30, but if Overloud introduces new gear/models I will probably revisit V2 at that time.
