Well, I have access to all my libraries, even some for Machine. But no chords/phrases tools even after following all of the additional instructions.

When I remove a library in Kontakt 8, it doesn't disappear from the library view. How can I remove it?

Kontakt don't manage old json files.

so when you delete a regedit key, the json is still here, showing the library.
it need to delete the json file more.

if you move a library, the same trouble occur from a bad ContentDir location.
the json is not updated if allready in place, you have to delete the json reopen kontakt to take the change.

you have to know it.

i added a global cleaner to the patcher, to delete the installed products folder when patching.
it use a bat file with this code.
@RD /S /Q "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Native Instruments\installed_products"

a clean should be done everytime you modify or delete libraries regedit entry. to take the change on next launch.

also if you used the Ni key adder from kontakt button before the K8 out, writing Kontakt8.json with an empty content dir.
the missing tools trouble in kontakt8 certainly come's from here.

So I have removed all older Kontakt versions, including Kontakt 6 and Kontakt 7. I have run the Kontakt_Button app in admin mode and registered all libraries. 42 found but not all are showing up in Kontakt 8 or Maschine 2. Specifically, the Session Guitarists and Bassist are not showing up in Kontakt 8. Maschine 2 still shows the Session Guitar libraries but then the program freezes and crashes when I try to load one of the Session Guitarist presets/libraries.

Any help is appreciated.

Libraries have all now shown up. My issue is solely load times and/or crashes for certain libraries in MASCHINE 2 Bob Dule, specifically Electric Mint and Ukele. Any reason why these take 5 minutes or more to load or cause Maschine 2 to crash?

Working fine here.

After install, copy the patch thingy to the installed app folder, usually this would be the kontakt 8 folder on your C: drive.

From here you would want to run the patcher inside this folder itself and patch the .exe file. It's will create a Kontakt_Button inside that same folder.
Open kontakt standalone version and add your libraries through the library tab.

Legit Native Access user will notice that the libraries are added to kontakt 8 list
already in the left panel.
Despite native access will say demo to third party libraries they will work just fine without any problems.

Even thought this is a cracked KT8 version, legit libraries will also work in this release without any problems. I'm running scarbee mark 1, rickenbacker bass and many other legit libraries downloaded from Native Instrument Native Access 3 without a single issue.

All this on windows 10

I originally had 24 libraries, but after the add library button, I found 32!

I'm on Win10, installed last v7 and v8 (can work together and share libs).

All of my libraries showed correctly and works 100%, but since I keep in 2 different HD and I'm very organized, I renamed 2 by adding the developer name, used the Library tool for refresh, showed correctly on V7 but in V8 no, had to remove manually the 2 products JSON files inside C:\Users\Public\Documents\Native Instruments\installed_products, refresh again with Library Tools and get finally all working.

To avoid any problem I suggest to run the patcher during the installation in Admin Mode, otherwise it will fail to run all the task it suppose to, keep your eyes open and see if patcher fails in some point.

Expansions no longer work in Maschine 2 when run in Cubase 12. Prompted with “please activate via Native Access!” Anyone know how to fix this issue?

all working fine so far with one exception, Scarbee Funk Guitarist, the instrument interface isn't loading correctly, a more or less white blank page with a few buttons and sliders, apparently the background guitar image can't be loaded correctly.

delete the json and relaunch kontakt to generate a new file if needed.

the full libraries scan can take 4H if you have many.
people offen don't wait and post everywhere that nothing show.

generally reset the json works fast,
in the worst case you can still reset the database, rescan all from zero.
delete komplete.db3 here
