I already installed 2.8.5 c Moria software on Monterey m1 and 2.6.1 soundsources, but I get error message on library update 2.8.1 ...it find steam folder on my ext drive but message me "it failed to open output file" and "error install data"

this 2.8.1c has been out for a while now, not sure why posted here again, I have it dl since August. This installer works for me but I remember the installation will fail on some unless you take the "." out from InstallationAttributes.dat. It should be "InstallationAttributes.dat" and not ".InstallationsAttributes.dat"

By copying the Data Files manually to its location, then it works 🥳
Now Patches is updated to 2.8.1c

It's just the installer itself that doesn't copy files automatically

But when opening the plugin, it does give me an error message: Error loading waveform
Can anyone who also manually installed this, confirm?

I said copy all the files that includes the.InstallationAttributes.dat file that you wont see unless you have show hidden files on cmd+shift+.

• Mount Omnisphere_Patch_Library_Update_2.8.1c.iso
• This creates a disk image "Omnisphere_Patch" on the desktop
• Drag + CMD this disk image (= copy) on the desktop. This creates a new traditional folder with the same content
• Rename this folder as "Omnisphere_Patch" if this is not the case
• Use the installer from within this folder.

Thanks for all the tips guys. but for me it all doesn't work. Andromeda I get error on the waveform pop up. And the next (D-50) I can't load because it can't find in the core library.

"Cannot load Soundsource "D-50 Ok Chorale" in Directory " Core Library". Try refreshing index in Browser.

I tried that. Also removed the zmap.index.

So I rolled back to the previous presets, that worked great. but thanks!

On a PC Win 10 btw.

Better yet, just right click on the disk image and select duplicate. Then install from the duplicate folder.

The file is hidden (invisible) inside the .ISO
To show hidden files on Mac, go to Terminal and paste this:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE

hit Enter. Then paste: killall Finder
hit Enter.

Now you'll see all files.
Once you've copied all the files to a folder, then you need to reverse the command:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE

hit Enter then again: killall Finder
hit Enter

For those having issues installing on MacOs, here's how to manually update the soundsources :

- open the "Data" folder within the update folder
- You'll find a "STEAM" folder
- Open it and select the "Omnisphere" folder
- Hold the option key
- drag it and drop the "omnisphere" folder in the root of your STEAM is located
- It will ask you to "Merge"
- Click "OK"

Ps: if it doesn't say "merge" then you did something wong si click "cancel" and try again
