With R2R Silk Emu, and the R2R's Stbrg installers, no one needs Activation Manager, except of course if one have paid (legit) licenses on one's comp. Don't waste your time installing this sh*t.

We don't even need to install Library Manager, just to read R2R.txt (included with all the last R2R's Stnberg releases), to know where to copy all the *.vstsound libraries (hint: it's in ProgramData).

I know this is a bit late: R2R explicitly warns in the NFO not to use the V.R release. But to be fair, the fact that it no longer works for you is probably more due to the activation manager. However, there is also a way to use R2R's Silk emulator in conjunction with the activation manager. (Which is unnecessary, see above me).

In their txt, R2R is talking about VR's SILK based releases (ie: Cubendo 12 + other SILK based releases) not about all the soft licenser based releases, like this one, which works very well.

The problem they talk about is the fact that the VR Cubase 12 release (for example) do a lot of useless mess with registry and system files => really hard to uninstall if ever you wanna use / test other silk based releases (R2R, TC Team...).

This is the big difference between VR and R2R: the R2R releases (and TC Team too) are very cautious and installs a bare minimum of files necessary to function, and don't touch to your registry.

Running well and it didn't break anything here. I think the difference may be the setup, i.e. having the R2R in place of official, instead of how R2R (rightfully so) sets it up for dual ability, once again i.e.: legit coincide

It should work then if you use the official installer from Steinberg + Silk emulator from R2R. Because the "official" releases of R2R do not get along with the activation manager of Steinberg and then probably do not work with the release of V.R. But I'm just guessing, because I only rely on the stuff from R2R when it comes to Steinberg.

R2R SILK releases are totally independent from the eLicenser-based releases; like this one.

So this release should work perfectly in parallel with R2R's ones, because it's two very different mechanisms.

Just a last thing to remember: AVs in general (and Windows Defender in particular) don't like VR's soft-elicenser releases. So one will possibly have to exclude these folders:

C:\Program Files (x86)\eLicenser

C:\Program Files (x86)\Syncrosoft

...from the eyes of your AV scanner.

Thx for your explanation , thats why then. There is another pack from the VR team that have the version 1.0 of the vintage stomp, is there a way to use the same license? The release is Yamaha.Vintage.Plugin.Collection.1.0.CE-V.R

Yes. And actually just now i have tested them both steinberg and Yamaha release from Team VR, well Steinberg releases are older, and Yamaha releases are newer, and they work under license i have told and they are all VST3 formats.
Only miss is that there are not all plugins included like in Steinberg releases, and those are some modulation plugins flangers, phasers etc., but i guess that is not relevant to you. With Yamaha you get also reverb plugins, distortion plugins, and morphing comp plugin. So better download that release from Team VR than one from SDA. All works just perfect under that one license.

Nice reply, but to complicated Wavelab LE 7 license have nothing to do with those plugins.
Just install that Team VR release, and use this (b26) generator which includes VST RACK PRO license, and all plugins are unlocked. About OpenGL, well I don't care, only thing that counts that plugin will work.
I just have tested both versions from SDA and from TEAM VR, and I already have given an explanation above what to use and what to do.

I am referring to unreleased version without license, that nobody can run unless purchased. Vintage Stomp Pack 1.1.1 - this is the OpenGL one, for sure. I saw code for it.

Maybe you can run it if you put the official protection driver, with a trial license. (I never bothered to try and I don't want Pace.) What I mean towards that end "run it" - as in permanently good. heh heh

heh heh had me for a moment. That doesn't have Vintage Stomp Pack. Stomp Pack = Dual_Phaser, Phaser_Max100, Vintage_Flanger, Vintage_Phaser and Vintage_Wah - the current version we can run perpetually is made by Yamaha, but it installs to Steinberg VST3 folder, so default: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Steinberg\Vintage Stomp Pack - v1.0.0.52

Well like i have said, i don't know what is in that pack and i have already said that those plugins are not included in release i was pointing to. But i had a good will to help men in a trouble... I don't know what to say, i mean Yamaha plugins are highly desirable after all so even that is just enough.

I am not coder or cracker so for me OpenGL means nothing. If that is something about graphics, well those plugins can be run on ancient machines. Please I am not into hardware and some specific files so if I sound like a n00b please forgive me.

The point is :
1. Releases from Steinberg SDA required some specific license (USB dongle i guess)
2. Release from Steinberg is older version of all software included than VST Rack Pro releases.
3. If you need Vintage Stomp rack plugins just have release I shared a link for, and you are good to go.

PS. Again sorry, for my ignorance if Vintage Stomp rack i have mentioned doesn't have all the plugins, because in SDA there are 4 downloads, and there is no MANUAL for them...

Firs of all thx Hennessey and TeamCubeadooby for your answer . I tried to move licenses and reinstall the update of vintage stomp pack from sda, but it didnt work. The rack pro is working great, the team vr version and directly from the sda. Maybe in a near future a team find a way to make the update of vintage stomp work, in the meantime we can use the previous version present in the Yamaha.Vintage.Plugin.Collection.1.0.CE-V.R
