Don’t let its looks deceive you: the minimalist 2-knob workflow of the Lindell 902 de-esser is made possible by some very sophisticated engineering under the hood. One of the most remarkable things about the 902 is that it doesn’t have a threshold control. But this is a feature, not a bug. The 902 compares the level of the high frequency you select to the rest of the signal, allowing for equally smooth de-essing whether your signal is whisper quiet or screaming loud.

Reduce harshness on any source without second guessing
The lack of complex controls on the 902 makes it easier to use—and harder to mess up—than most other de-essers. No fixed threshold means you no longer have to compromise by over-processing loud sections or under-processing quiet ones. But all this wouldn’t mean much if it didn’t sound any good. Fortunately, the 902 is also one of the best sounding de-essers ever made, suitable not only for voice, but for controlling excess brightness on cymbals, guitars, or any other instrument with potentially harsh transients.

Works on Win x64, but only as long as you don't open a preset or touch the air-button... Otherwise sound is muted...

El complemento deja de funcionar cuando abro los ajustes preestablecidos y al tocar el botón de aire.
Estoy en Windows 10 64 bits Pro Tools 12.5.
Revisé ambos complementos tanto vst2, VST 3 como el dll de 64 bits.

Not sure but I remember in an R2R release of PA plugins said something about keeping the cracked and legit license on separate drives. It was awhile ago though so I could be wrong. You could download an old release or check https://upawg.ca/ for in NFO

From purely technical point of view (i.e. not considering functionality), this plugin does not fare well.
At default settings it shows ~-62dB of THD, which might be considered as very bad. IMD is also pretty high (4.0). Impulse response is of FIR type, rather solid /if you can stand FIR/. On harmonic test it shows considerable dips (@2.5 and 7.3 kHz) and peaks (@12.5-18kHz). Attack/release test shows wavering instabilities in rise time as well in settling time. On dynamic test it shows signs of abrupt compression level changes at low levels at times.
It can also produce clipping, depending on input level . You can lower the input gain, but then you must compensate for it by increasing the output gain, which means introducing two unnecessary instances of DSP, further increasing THD.
The "Air' button mutes the sound, which might be a bug.
On the bad side is also that it offers no efficient mouse controlled interactive graphs to help user precisely determine the right de-essing frequency and Q factor, like Harrison AVA de-esser does, for example. Here we must mainly rely on our ears. AVA also measures significantly better on all tests, except IMD, which is even worse.

The only thing I notice is that when I hit the air knob, the plugin is like disable bypass and nothing goes through anymore.

Absolutely the best De-esser I have ever used, there is no bug guys just do your gain staging right and you will get the magic.
in combo with melodyne is the miracle.
