iOS | 476 MB
Note is a place to form ideas, experiment with sounds and find direction. Get your ideas out or play until inspiration hits using a selection of Ableton Live’s drum kits, synths and melodic instruments. Or create your own sound palette by recording the sounds around you into Note’s sampler instruments using your phone’s microphone.

Take your ideas further by sending your projects to Live without leaving the app using Ableton Cloud. Open projects from Live’s browser and keep working – you can edit all your MIDI notes, and all your samples and sounds from Note are exactly the same. Ableton Note users will receive a free license for Ableton Live Lite – simple, intuitive software used by musicians, producers and DJs around the world to write, record, and perform.

Hi,

I managed to install the application on my iPad 9 (OS 17.5.1) using Sideloadly on my Windows laptop and with the help of this excellent tutorial :
Sideloadly on Windows To Sideload Apps on iPhone
I followed the instructions carefully and Ableton Note installed correctly (according to Sideloadly and my iPad).
But when I try to launch the application a black window opens briefly and then nothing.
I tried with another application downloaded from AudioZ (Koala Sampler) but it does the same thing : Apparently, the application is installed but it does not launch :(.

Any ideas please ?

Hi, I use Sidestore instead of Altstore/sideIoadly, it allows for app refresh without a computer. I find that if you install LiveContainer via your sideloading solution (find on github), You can run a lot of the ipa's that won't run directly by sideloading. Just install/load them up within LiveContainer. You can place direct shortcuts on your homescreen to apps running within LiveContainer. It works well and has the added advantage of bypassing the 3 app limit.

Hey Donkeypoo!

Anyhere I can find some detailed info on the apps you mentioned and their usage? Wife has an iPad and it'd be sweet to know how to expand its repertoire with some tasty freebies from here.

Complete iOS noob, always been on Android and PC, other than a brief foray when I bought an iPhone 4s way back in the day. From memory, didn't you need to jailbreak the devices back then, and risk bricking that oh so expensive Apple device?

Thanks for any help, brother.
And the truth shall set you free.

Hey Pilz,

1. Get Side Server from the link Lou provided, install that on PC/MAC (instructions are there in the link). You'll have to hook-up your tablet via a usb cable to the computer and use sideserver to send the sidestore app across to the tablet.

2. Go on your tablet's browser and download this:
https://github.com/khanhduytran0/LiveContainer/releases/download/3.2.0/com.kdt.livecontainer_3.2.0.ipa

In the sidestore app use the + to locate that 'com.kdt.livecontainer_3.2.0.ipa' file you just downloaded and let that install within side store.

3. Open the LiveContainer app and using this locate any further apps you have downloaded and wish to install...

This Method uses 'developer mode' rather than jailbreak. Officially you can install 10 apps (3 active at a time) for 7 days to 'test' apps you're developing, then you have to refresh the 'counter' every 7 days, Sidestore achieves this using wifi and some VPN trickery so you don't have to be connected to a PC via a cable each time.

LiveContainer bypasses the 3 app limit and lets you install as many apps as you like. You can place an icon on your tablets home screen for any apps you have installed in LiveContainer by holding down on that app within LiveContainer to get a list of options. INFO HERE --> https://github.com/khanhduytran0/LiveContainer.

Sounds more difficult than it is and once its set up its easy to use.

You're supposed to be able to automate the app refresh via apple tasks/shortcuts but I haven't managed to get that to work as yet. So manual refresh at least once a week, maybe set an alarm or something. I hope thats useful and not just rambling
