V-Control Pro provides a fully-featured, multi-touch control surface for Pro Tools, Logic 9, Cubase/Nuendo, and many more DAW's. V-Control Pro uses WiFi to control transport, editing, and mixing functions. V-Control Pro provides advanced control of sends, automation, groups, auditioning, plug-ins, jog/scrub/shuttle, I/O assignment, and other controls within an easy-to-use interface. Windows XP/Vista/7 What's New Jog/Shutte Wheel - All DAW modes have a jog/shuttle wheel.
Audition, Final Cut 7, and Media Composer have fixed wheel in the user interface.

Two-finger double-tap the mixer to show/hide the jog wheel for all other DAW modes.
Two-finger drag to quickly activate shuttle (Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Final Cut, Media Composer, Audition)

Preferences - New preferences section is displayed in Setup popover
Optionally place transport at top of screen
Optionally disable transport controls
Optionally disable fader double-tap
Optionally set for transparent jog wheel display
Optionally set for Cubase +12 dB max gain

Draggable Multi-Panel - The multi-panel window can now be dragged and placed anywhere.

Smarter Multi-Panel - The multi-panel window now remembers which mode is selected.



PRO TOOLS CHANGES

Counter Jog Control - Drag across the counter to jog forward or back.

Transport Popover - There is now a Transport Popover selectable form transport bar
Pro Tools memory locations moved from Edit panel to Transport Popover
Audition controls moved from Edit panel to Transport Popover

Automation Popover
The popover now has a "All" button to set mode for all tracks.
Write Enable controls moved from Edit panel into Automation Popover

Keypad
The keypad now has modifier keys for additional functionality.

Surround Panner - Improved panning control if a touch moves outside the panner boundary.

You must have missed Lemur for iPad. While V-Control looks great and works well for your DAW, it's not an all-round solution. Lemur can do so much more than only controlling your DAW - in fact I currently use it for editing my Waldorf Blofeld through a CoreMidi hardware interface and the NI FM8 over Wi-Fi connection on Windows XP.

Lemur and v control have very different goals. The physics and scripting engines in Lemur put it in another class. This is the best controller bar none.

You must have missed Lemur for iPad.

You're right, Lemur rocks. Actually I bought them both and never looked back, but I'm happy to see it here to spread the word. Lemur is of limited use with PT, since Avid makes it so hard to link to an external fader. But I do love the Lemur programming. And the physics engine gives it a unique feel.

Can you install it on every iPad or does it have to be jailbroken or something?

Impossible to install this! My ipad 2 has jailbreak and i couldnt install it. Someone can explain how to do it, please?

@d_vitor, there are a few ways to install this on your jailbroken iPad. Here's the method I use...

- install iTools http://itools.hk/en_index.htm

- open iTools and and under tools turn on "Associated with IPA"

- connect your iPad to your computer and open the ipa file. Click install

For Pro Tools users .I have had trouble getting this running !
I was running it on two PC's one would work the other I couldn't get faders and transport running the pc that worked I was running asio4all driver the other 003 rack ! What clued me into the problem was asio didn't have midi drivers 003 rack has them . All you have to do is disable avid midi.
Go to setup- midi input devices-on midi input enable only select
V-control & v-pan 1 & v-pan 2.
If I selected avid midi it stops working there must be a clash with avid midi drivers or something.
Hope this helps I spent days troubleshooting this trying everything on the forums and so on. Might save some people a big headache
