With Addictive Drums 2, we’re taking it to the next level. More world-class instruments, more amazing sound shaping features, more tools for rhythm creation and transformation, and total freedom to pick only the kits and add-ons that are right for you. All this while maintaining the fast, clean, musician-centric interface that made us successful in the first place. We hope you'll love what we have made.

Build your perfect kit

Don't like your snare drum or crash cymbal? Swap them out in seconds with any other kit piece in your drum collection! Want to turn down the ride, turn up the cowbell and maybe beef up your kick drum by linking it to an electronic sub-kick? Not a problem. The Kit page makes all this easy.

This page is where you can make changes to your drum kit. Easily modify any of our professionally designed presets or build your own presets from scratch. Our simple interface presents information in ways that musicians understand while eliminating unnecessary complexity.

Tweak your sounds to perfection

Are you a recording engineer at heart? Do you love diving down to the individual microphone and instrument levels and tweaking everything to perfection? We think you're going to be very happy when you see all the amazing features on the Edit Page of Addictive Drums 2!

This page contains in-depth controls to let you tweak specific parts of your kit (like the Kick, Snare, or other parts). Here, you'll find things like multi-band EQs, compression, distortion, tape simulation, our brand new Tone Designer and Transient Shaper modules, and much more.

Find the perfect beat

Addictive Drums 2 is more than just great sounding drums in your music. It's also a collection of outstanding rhythms and grooves played by professional drummers. Even if you are an experienced drum programmer, you're sure to find inspiration here. The only thing better than these beats would be hiring a professional drummer, booking a studio, and spending hours recording.

On this page, you can browse through all of the rhythms to find your inspiration. If you have a specific beat in mind, it's very easy to search your collection using the Grid Search tool. And if you'd like to modify an existing beat to make it uniquely yours, the powerful Beat Transform system makes it easy. And once you find a beat you love, simply drag-and-drop it to your host's timeline. Easy!

Add great drum effects

The FX page contains two Delerb effects. This outstanding effects processors combines delay and reverb effects in one place and lets you push the sonic envelope. With two of them at your disposal, you'll have no shortage of options when designing exciting sounds.

Find new ways to use your kits

ExploreMaps let you step through all of the ADpaks and audition and select any of the professionally designed presets. Each preset includes a beat that was specifically designed to show off that preset in the best light. You can also audition ADpaks you don't own yet to get a taste of what they have to offer!

So after artattack's post, is it confirmed that you don't have to mess with the online installer at all? If you put all the stuff in the right places, it will run?

And what is the issue with Addictive Keys, cuz I have a legit copy of that running on my system, and I don't want it jeopardized!

The online installer updates keys with a demo if it is a ke'd copy. Not sure what happens if you have a legit copy of keys, but I would assume it would be fine.

what the situation with AU plugin and Logic PRO X ?

quote by artattackJI've just put the VST into work without needing to install the demo:

- copied the .vst file into /HD/library/audio/plug-ins/VST
- copied the 2.0.0 Win "Addictive Drums 2" folder into "/HD/library/application support/XLN Audio"
- copied the "resources" folder into "/HD/library/application support/XLN Audio/Addictive Drums 2"
- copied the "ADBV0002" folder and "ADBV0002.resources" file into "/HD/library/application support/XLN Audio/Addictive Drums 2/App"

Followed these instructions exactly, except substituted .component files for Audio Unit installation instead of VST.

Confirmed: EVERYTHING works in Digital Performer 7!

I think the AU issue with Logic X is on the Mavericks version and it doesn't appear that it will get fixed unless one of us knows how to do it.

I use Logic Pro X 10.0.7 (OS X 10.8.5) and i don't have any problem. It works like a charm without a crash. I tested it also as stand alone and within Cubase Elements 7.0.7. Not one single problem. I think the crash in Logic Pro X has something to do with OS X 10.9 (Mavericks).

thx. likely some funky permissions thing or something. tried batchmod, but it didn't help.

Followed these directions running OSX Mavericks, worked perfectly for about 3 days.

now every time I load up the VST in Ableton (v9.1.5), it immediately crashes with an error message of:

"A serious program error has occurred.
Live will shut down after this message box is closed.

Please restart Live and follow the instructions in the 'Report a Crash' lesson that will appear in Live's Help View."

When it reopens, it says the crash was due to a faulty plug-in, and names Addictive Drums 2.vst - I've used Batchmod, Little Snitch, and kept my system offline the entire duration just to be sure. I even uninstalled ADD2, removed the plugins, and reinstalled, and still get the same problem.

Anybody have any idea what the problem could possibly be? It was working great for about 3 days but now looks to be completely shot.

if you just uninstall everything by using the uninstaller, it will leave A LOT behind!
try to find the propertyfiles (.plists) and the key/serial-files (i found a lot (everything, i hope) and deleted everything when i tried to make the 64bit-AU in logicproX on Mavericks).
so i cant really help here :/
its scattered over the whole system! both in the user-library-properties and the system-library-properties (ALSO in the "by host" folder inside the propertyfolder) and the Audio-/Plugin-folders
-.-
only THEN you uninstalled it really, im afraid...
tell me if it worked! and PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE EXPLAIN HOW TO MAKE IT WORK ON 10.9+LogicProX
i. am. sesperate... :/

I wouldn't want to come across selfish after the work involved in this, but would it be possible to get 2.0.2 update? It fixes a lot of things that would be nice to play with.

Thanks for this 2.0.1 anyway!

This is one of those releases where it doesn't make sense to request an update not to mention it's against the rules to request in the comments. When it's available it will be posted and that is wholly dependent on the person or team that cracked it.

Are you on Mavericks? If you are, can you explain with more detail how you wrapped it? I tried wrapping the VST version with JBridge but it didn't work.

I don't understand how you can use JBridge unless you have a Bridge component for AD2...

Also, what does saving a channel strip setting have to do with it?

trabajando con PT HD 10.3.9 , Osx 10.8.5 y Fxpansion vst to rtas adapter.

working with PT HD 10.3.9, 10.8.5 and Osx Fxpansion vst to rtas adapter.

other details, if you have tried exporting audio clip as some can not, but if you have PT HD 9, you just have to copy the crack that is within the app. PT Mac Os folder and paste them into the app. PT HD 10.3.9 folder in Mac Os and you can export as your audio clips. Greetings and Thanks for the post.

Guys! Finally after a long time trying to make it work in LPX, I solved it!
Here it is...,

First, the problem is that LPX doesn't recognized the .component as a valid program, but, there is a way to force it...

1] Open Terminal
2] Type: sudo codesign -f -s - "/library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Addictive Drums 2.component/Contents/MacOS/Addictive Drums 2", press return.
3] Type your admin Pass, press return.
4] Automatically will show a window asking if you want to download an Xcode complement, do it.
5] Once the download is complete and installed, repeat step 2.

and DONE! :D hOPE WORKS WITH YOU!

YES, this works! don't update afterwards though as it reverts to a demo

in that case, place the folder on your desktop and treat it like a mounted disk. ;) good luck!

First download Addictive drums 2 ("XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2 v2.0.0 - R2R [oddsox]", you only need the library).

From this download:

Copy the "Addictive Drums 2.app" to your Application folder.

Copy the Addictive Drums Library (downloaded Windows version) "Addictive Drums 2" (don't change the name, otherwise you get a GUI problem) to:

HD/Library/Application Support/XLN Audio (if it does not exist, create the folder in there). Remove the "AD2_Library_Placer.exe" from the Library if you want. You don't need it.

Copy the AU "Addictive Drums 2.component" to:

HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

Copy the VST to:

HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST

Don't use the folder "resources" yet, otherwise you get no demo sounds (you will hear nothing). That was my problem in the beginning.

First start Addictive Drums (a little version error pops-up), ignore that an play some demo sounds. Close Addictive Drums and copy the contents from "resources" to :

HD/Library/Application Support/XLN Audio/Addictive Drums 2/App (replace the "ADBV0002" folder and copy the "ADBV0002.resources" file in the same folder".

Confirmed working 10.8.5 Logic Pro X, no crashes,no problems guys.

I am downloading now, along with r2r v2.0 release for the libraries, ... does anyone know if you can move the sound library to an external drive easily? I checked on their website, and it seems you can using "their" installer, but not sure if you can with this release... thanks!
..grateful for HEXWARS, R2R, SYNTHiC4TE, CASHMERE & ALL teams, AZ crew past and present, and friends I have met here . RIP and LOVE to Olymoon and his family.
