With Addictive Drums 2, we’re taking it to the next level. More world-class instruments, more amazing sound shaping features, more tools for rhythm creation and transformation, and total freedom to pick only the kits and add-ons that are right for you. All this while maintaining the fast, clean, musician-centric interface that made us successful in the first place. We hope you'll love what we have made.

Build your perfect kit

Don't like your snare drum or crash cymbal? Swap them out in seconds with any other kit piece in your drum collection! Want to turn down the ride, turn up the cowbell and maybe beef up your kick drum by linking it to an electronic sub-kick? Not a problem. The Kit page makes all this easy.

This page is where you can make changes to your drum kit. Easily modify any of our professionally designed presets or build your own presets from scratch. Our simple interface presents information in ways that musicians understand while eliminating unnecessary complexity.

Tweak your sounds to perfection

Are you a recording engineer at heart? Do you love diving down to the individual microphone and instrument levels and tweaking everything to perfection? We think you're going to be very happy when you see all the amazing features on the Edit Page of Addictive Drums 2!

This page contains in-depth controls to let you tweak specific parts of your kit (like the Kick, Snare, or other parts). Here, you'll find things like multi-band EQs, compression, distortion, tape simulation, our brand new Tone Designer and Transient Shaper modules, and much more.

Find the perfect beat

Addictive Drums 2 is more than just great sounding drums in your music. It's also a collection of outstanding rhythms and grooves played by professional drummers. Even if you are an experienced drum programmer, you're sure to find inspiration here. The only thing better than these beats would be hiring a professional drummer, booking a studio, and spending hours recording.

On this page, you can browse through all of the rhythms to find your inspiration. If you have a specific beat in mind, it's very easy to search your collection using the Grid Search tool. And if you'd like to modify an existing beat to make it uniquely yours, the powerful Beat Transform system makes it easy. And once you find a beat you love, simply drag-and-drop it to your host's timeline. Easy!

Add great drum effects

The FX page contains two Delerb effects. This outstanding effects processors combines delay and reverb effects in one place and lets you push the sonic envelope. With two of them at your disposal, you'll have no shortage of options when designing exciting sounds.

Find new ways to use your kits

ExploreMaps let you step through all of the ADpaks and audition and select any of the professionally designed presets. Each preset includes a beat that was specifically designed to show off that preset in the best light. You can also audition ADpaks you don't own yet to get a taste of what they have to offer!

Oh sorry! Nobody replied with whether or not they got it working in Logic X.... apologies.

Anyway, I'm on 10.9.3 Mavericks... with Logic X 10.0.6. Every time Logic tries to validate it crashes and the standalone doesn't open at all.

I'm pretty sure I did all the steps correctly...

Appreciate the reply! :)

Try the logic force AU validation utility maybe?

He writes on the note that it doesn't work on logic X....he's not sure why ( I really hope we're able to find a way). But works on logic 9 ( 64 bit mode).
For standalone, use Batchmod, it works.

Any news for Logic or AAX ?

Edit : Of course AAX is not working on legit PT10, no surprise… It says "No valid authorization"
I don't waste my time trying on Logic X.
Standalone seems to work fine.

Thanks though.

Ps : If someone needs crash reports, tests on PT, Logic or whatever contact me if I can help

Hey guys, I've installed the trial version before this release, but now when I install everything and open the standalone app it displays the message "The program resources have the wrong version. Please make sure that the installation is up to date." and I have only 10 days trial mode with all instruments. If I try to update it, all my instruments are deleted. Could you please help me with this issue? Thanks!

kind of the same for me, i think thats cause trial version is now 2.0.2 but perhaps someone could tell who it works even though

If that's the case, how do you get around that? Is there a 2.0.1 demo installer?

Works fine with Digital Performer 8.06 (64 bit) + Snow Leopard. Thanks!!

Guys to get rid of that message simply copy 2 resources files from This post and place it inside App folder to HD/Library/Application support/XLN Audio/Addictive drums 2/App

It worked for me! Good luck

Sohill, I've copied the resources files and it's working, but the message only appears in standalone mode. There's no message if I use the vst plugin (in cubase or vst lord). Have you ever installed the demo before this release? Thanks!

But is anyone working in LogicX?

Oh sorry my friend I wish I could help you but I don't use the Logic or AU Compatable DAW

This version doesn't work on 64 Bits, Logic X is exclusively 64 Bits.
  Resident 25.01.2012 3304

huh? I thought 64 bits was the big selling point of ver 2? I have 32lives with ver 1, so . . ?

Beware the online installer forces you to update Addictive Keys and then it is back to demo mode! On a good note Addictive Drums 1 stayed fine.

sO USE LITTLE SNITCH

nothing to do with that. The online installer forces this if it detects "Keys" on your system. Seems no way to install "Drums 2" without using the online installer from what I can see. A quick reinstall of Keys puts it back right though.

Just signed up into the forum to say THANK YOU for this huge release!

I've just put the VST into work without needing to install the demo:

- copied the .vst file into /HD/library/audio/plug-ins/VST
- copied the 2.0.0 Win "Addictive Drums 2" folder into "/HD/library/application support/XLN Audio"
- copied the "resources" folder into "/HD/library/application support/XLN Audio/Addictive Drums 2"
- copied the "ADBV0002" folder and "ADBV0002.resources" file into "/HD/library/application support/XLN Audio/Addictive Drums 2/App"

And I have full AD2 running inside Presonus Studio One! Didn't tried the AU and Stand Alone yet.

THANK YOU!

Yes, the demo is fine in LPX. Just the Au crack kills it.
