mac codesigning (copied from another user):


1. First, you have to be sure it have not been quarantined: in Terminal, type:
xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /PATH/TO/PLUGIN

(replace /PATH/TO/PLUGIN with the complete path to the not recognized plug, normally it is there: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/). Don't forget the >SPACE< before path to plugin!


2. Now try to sign the plug yourself: in Terminal, type:
sudo codesign -f -s - /PATH/TO/PLUGIN

(Don't forget to copy the hyphen (minus sign -) between "-s" and the path! Then, it's recommended to reboot before testing the plug in DAW.)


3. Now launch DAW, see if the plug is recognized. If it still isn't in the list, try this in Terminal:
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /PATH/TO/PLUGIN

(Reboot again before testing.)

hey which websites do we need to block? I can't install little snitch due to Mac Version Cataline, (not compatible with the latest little snitch)

Has anyone on an M mac been able to install it on Sonoma without any sound drop off? I've followed all instructions and the sound still cuts out after a second. How can I fix this?

Yes, I have. (M1 Mac mini, Sonoma 14.5, Logic Pro 11). My process:

1. Batchmod everything ... https://batchmod.en.softonic.com/mac?ex=RAMP-2046.2
2. Move everything to correct locations.
3. Codesign the plugin. I used:
i) sudo chmod u+x [drag plugin here]
ii) sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine [drag plugin here]
iii) sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - [drag plugin here]

P.S. I haven't bothered blocking any hosts and as of yet haven't experienced any issues.

Can't get it to work on my machine.. I codesigned, blocked soniccharge, keep getting: Can't be opened because apple cannot check it for malicious software... any one else having this issue?

everything seems to be working fine on m1 Sonoma , no timebomb for now

Genopatch comes up with the error 'required resources are missing, please reinstall synplant'

am I missing anything? uninstalled everything with sonic charge and reinstalled with this release. Other than genopatch everything seems to be working fine

After working for 3 months, it has started bombing with a tape stop effect fading out. you can change preset and there is sound for 2 seconds then it pitches down and fades out.

windows version?

my synplant has stopped working. It'll makes sounds the first 2 second after putting it on a track. Anyone else having this problem?

IF IT TIMEBOMBS FOR YOU:

use show hidden folders shortcut (cmd+shift+. [the dot key])

and then delete \users\your_name\library\application_support\sonic_charge\* (there will be two files: .scregistry and .sscsalt -> delete these)

this is not your regular library folder its under your username! you have to enable show hidden folders!

use lulu/little snitch to block all folders/files from internet access (presets, patches, .component & .vst3)

codesign .component and .vst3
