sorry to say it, especially with the developer present, but theres two problems with a corrective eq approach. to get my akg 701 headphones to flatten out, this program adds up to 6 db boosts and cuts all over the place. first, (perhaps a curse of the akg701s) im hearing a narrower stereo image. not sure if thats on purpose or what, but it goes away when i flatten the eq...) And instead of hearing a flatter frequency response, im hearing the eq its applying resonating (or ringing) in certain frequencies, notably high hats. its a good concept in theory, but eq just has some real inherent problems when correcting like this. even applied more subtely, im just not buying it.

iv tried batchmod and the finder still says i cant open or execute the file .
please can someone else instruct me what they did step my step...iv been at this for 3 hours non stop. its ruining my saturday cause i really want to try the headphone feature

Actually, this narrower stereo spread is an emulation of listening on speakers. Headphones typically lack the ghost center image created by monitors, and the spread is too wide. On the other hand, allow me to say that the correction curve works consistently on different headphones. I've tried 4 of the phones listed in the profiles with comparable sound. I'd dare to say that any harshness in your 701s may be a flaw in mixing that is being surfaced by the flatter response of the correction curve. Test your cans with commercial music that you trust to gauge results.

this is because the measurement is average. send them your headphones to get a precise one. your headphones seem to be colouring differently then the average of the K701.

I use the K702 and for my particular case, it is working really good. Nevertheless I wrote with support and will use their service of a precise correction for mine.

Anyone has tried on monitors?

I follow the calibration progress on standalone app. When I finished it say that now open the Plugin version and load the saved profile.

When I go to my DAW the only Plugin I find it is "Sonarworks Reference 3 plugin" but when I load it say "Headphone calibration" and don't know how to load the monitor calibration. I am not sure, but I think I need 2 plugins, one for headphones and another for monitors.

switch from headphone to the other one then you can load the ebb file

Headphone or speaker calibration?

I tried the speaker calibration, and it is the only software of this type that really works! Make sure you did procedure exactly how the instructions say. I have 0 stereo problems.

i measured with the mic of ARC2 and the correction feels comparable to me. The measurementprocess is very different to the ARC2 measurementprocess, but it's a bit faster and way cooler, because it "sees" your micposition :D

It is better than ARC2 in your opinion? I am not convinced too much with ARC2 (I would never use), but I like Reference 3 results

I am having "problems" when I load a project, I need to manually load preset on Reference 3, or will be as in bypass.

Anyone has same problems? it is a bug from sonarworks? or a problem with this version?

Same here, tested also the demo from Sonarworks and it's not a bug so a problem with this version.

Hey guys, I tried the code chmod ac and dragged the trialDelete.command file next to it without space it doesn't authorize it, can someone help me how to exactly unlock the access privileges please , would really appreciate it

Hi, is there any newer version than this (Sonarworks Reference v3.0.4.10 MacOSX-PiTcHsHiFteR)? Does anybody know it? There are many of new headphone's profiles now, but this release isn't able to load them :-( Thanks a lot for some info. Cheers

Unfortunately for me my DT 770 Pro (250Ohm) headphones are not supported in this release !
They are supported however in the official demo from the Sonar Works site.

The headphone template folder that was installed during the crack installation process obviously never came with the DT 770 Pro (250Ohm) template file, the newer demo I downloaded does have the DT 770 Pro (250Ohm) template file.

I have tried to use the new DT 770 Pro (250Ohm) template file I got from the demo folder !
It doesn't work however, much to my disappointment ---
